hye gyo's face is always blank tsk! I don't feel like she is acting tho... Park bo gum is soo over exagerating…
I thought I was the only one. His profile pic isn't feminine so why in the world the crew made him up is beyond me. When the ML has the same amt of lipstick as the FL, there's a problem lol. In a Noona romance, the last thing a ML needs is to look boyish. I've only seen parts of ep1 though so my impression may be outdated.
I hope PBG isn't made into a one-dimensional, uber cutsie, mr. perfect/pushover. And I hate to say it, but WTH is with all the makeup lol. Hopefully this is just a first episode thing...
I'm gonna wait this time. I've fallen into too many hype traps featuring great first halves. The second is the true test. Learned my lesson with Something In the Rain...
I'm trying hard to like this but failing miserably. I know they're purposely keeping a lid on real chemistry for later, but I'm not sure I can suffer through ten more hours of 'learning to love each other', esp when there was no spark to begin with and now with Mr. annoying love rival. It's obvious she isn't into nerds and he's still a nerd. Move on, dude...
Pretty good start. I hope they don't mess it up because very little of what's airing looks interesting tbh. *waiting for another Something in the Rain with a second half that's actually....good lol*
For me this show has had shimmers of potential, due in large part to the OTP's acting, but never really became good. The director's style is really odd for a romance, the dialogue is sub mediocre, and all the rest feels like filler. I find the parents far more intriguing than anything else.
I can't believe I dropped this initially. One of the best things I've seen in a long time. This is more reminiscent of an artsy foreign film than daytime tv. High production values are always a plus, but what really makes this good is the use of subtlety, a good script, witty comedy (finally), and a well thought out screenplay. I also love that the action isn't the usual cheese that plagues otherwise good shows. I'm still slightly bothered by how young the FL looks for a romance with this ML, but the execution is so good on every level, I don't even care anymore.
Ji Sung is the obvious standout here but HJM is good too. I actually think their dynamic has been very true to life, esp ep 10. It's the side characters, the workplace, and his OTT wife that drag it down imo. They feel contrived by comparison and the script is very generic all around.
A lot of comments below talk about how good this drama is, but why does it have such a low score? Is it because…
Yeah that's very likely. FW also can also be tonally erratic and the dialogue isn't the greatest tbh. It keeps getting better though and the plot setup is as good or better imo.
There's a lot to like here but I'm having a hard time getting past the age gap. Why do they do this? It doesn't help that she can pass for early 20s in my eyes, which would make it closer to 30 yrs...
No. I'm sticking with it because that's my personality. However, there has been little that has been TRULY captivating.…
Uh oh. Is this a harem or reverse? I hate those. And is this mostly action/historical with sidelined rom/drama or is it more centric? I'm fine with either as long as the writing is good...
Second ep was definitely better. Now it's just a matter of whether the chem between the JS and HJM is a win or fail. Some huge potential here as a story--2nd chance roms are king.
That first episode was completely different than what I was expecting, in that it was almost entirely comedic. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I've seen many dramas shot in the foot by trying to meld it with poignant drama. There's a frenetic awkwardness to this show that I haven't decided whether I like or not. And I have to agree with posters below--both MCs look too old for college rolls. Jang Na Ra (genetic lottery winner) and Son Ho were much better suited imo. I can see that ending song really growing on me though!
I find myself picking shows based on simple covers like this, Just Between Lovers, Something in the Rain, On the Way to the Airport, etc., and sometimes it works. Can't believe I'm admitting this LOL.
Are you looking for the exact same story? Because its original manga Hana Yori Dango has been adapted many times.…
+10 for the anime. Some may laugh but it's one of the best versions imo, maybe THE best. Far more atmospheric than anything else, owing to Oshima's score, Mahler, and the Albinoni adagio included.
It's hard to watch meteor garden again. I'm a fan of meteor garden 2001, and when I watch this ver I keep finding…
This is Meteor Garden "lite" LOL. Personally, I agree. Why anyone would prefer a soft and cuddly F4 is beyond me--it vitiates the entire premise, so I don't see the point in a remake. Imo, the best version of all, other than 2001, was the anime. Ironically, it was more raw and gritty than any other version, which is what makes it great. Plus Michiru Oshima's score was orgasmic.
script, directing, casting, acting, dubbing ........ has lost all of its meaning
I'm guessing he/she means this is a joke compared to the original and I'd agree. This ML definitely looks more menacing, which I like, but everything else is a shell of its former self. So CHEESY by comparison. And with 48 eps this is going to drag like crazy.
She is sooo bitchin' LOL
