There's a lot, but most suffer from miscasts, poor writing that over-emphasize the age gap, and disappointing endings. This is one of the best pairings I've seen from a visual standpoint, and the 90s jdrama vibe is very promising, so we'll see...

Too bad the comment section is going to be dominated by the sub issue because this could be one of the best dramas of the season. The leads look great together. Hopefully the writers won't over-emphasize his youth and her age issues.

You're not alone. I was interested at first but I'm starting to cringe at ep 6, esp at the repeated flashbacks and the ex-commando rivalry. The only character I like is SY's sidekick.

Any kdrama rom with everyday-people, rather than billionaire chaebols, is an auto pick-up for me. Go Back Couple, On the Way to the Airport, Mother, Just Between Lovers, etc. I hope this trend continues bec I'm lovin it.

I thought I was the only one on earth. I like how it started, but feel like it's falling back on the usual unrealistic, ultra-cheesy melodramatic plot devices that plague kdramas. Too bad because the acting, music, and photography, and unique story are great. Struggling to finish this...

I've been waiting for kdrama romances to take a page from Korean and Japanese films, and this first ep was definitely a step in the right direction. It reminded me of those great 90s jdramas, which were so tonally organic. So much for getting any sleep tonight...

Yeah it's fine when playfully comedic and short-lived to make the ML/FL jealous, but really annoying when pushed - it just cheapens authenticity imo because real people don't do this.

That antacid scene was LMAO. The Chinese do comedy well imo.

I feel like the writers didn't give enough thought to turning this subject into a drama, so far. Cautiously optimistic, I mean pesimis...Never mind.

I had to force my way through the first three eps and dropped it for IANAR. Does the writing improve after ep3?

This jumped way over my expectations in many categories. A bit of draggy cheesiness in the middle, but a very solid series as a whole, with the possible exception of the last few episodes which imo were romantically anticlimactic. The subtle/low-key comedy was a highlight for me.

Yeah some of the dialogue just has me shaking my head. It isn't the actors either because it's obvious they're doing the best they can with it.
