I can quote lots of chinese mainstream dramas, that had to pass the censorship agency, which these BLs do not, with really sound sex scenes. Bts are part of fan service. The actors know they are being recorded. Kill to Love does not have bts of kissing. The two CP actors from the best Chinese performing academies, read the script got it and delivered the best kissing scene i have ever watched in a Chinese drama of any kind (and yes, tongues included)

I share your dissapointment. It is a poor excuse to say this is Chinese BL. First of all there is no censorship agency intervening, even mainstream Chinese dramas have compeling sex scenes. It is simple lack of imaginative direction.

Bad direction. This is what it is. Sex scenes, kissing scenes are equivalent to a coreography in a dance. Need to be staged, designed, filmed correctly to transmit the emotion and invite the viewer imagination. No need for stripping or soft porn. It is a waste of elliot & kipuka casting. They were hired as a pair for a reason.

He adored DZA so was living with a terrible double guilt. He escaped but get caught so DZA chained him. DZA was distorted by the attempt of escape and was dying. SH decided to reconcile to accompany him in the last part of his life, except that he really wanted to leave this world with dignity and as an atonement for his shortcoming and for loving DZA so much. Absolutely. Chinese dramas are tame but we have really good scenes with the actors in. loose clothing . Or as you say showing a bit. Wang An Yu in Passionetly in Love has a sex scene in which only the very top of his shoulder are showing and the face of his CP. That was Enough.
As I was expected. The bts was much better. Why then they make the sex scenes so bland!? First of all they are fully dressed while in the hotel assault scene they are not. This event of the marking and mutual sex desire was so important. In the bts Elliot and Kipuka are kissing with all their might and the camera angle doesn't make justice to the act. Sister Nong has two willing actors with hot chemistry and they downplay them all the time. Why Elliot was standing up? why Kipuka has this rigid three pieces suit like he was going to the office? Honestly, could they at least remove the tie and the waistcoat. In the novel he is burning with desire and HY is saying sweet things, but there is not enough representation of this.

ZheXu and MiJin the actors are having a blast doing lives, vblog and today they announced a fan meeting. Im so hopeful they will keep this CP "alive" for the emjoyment of all of us and themselves. They are an amazing pair at all levels.

Ep 12 - it started very well. The scene of the kidnapping was convincing, and they manage the low budget problem very well good performance by the cast. The marking and the love making very unconvincing. This is a couple with amazing chemistry not afraid of physical contact, so why they couldnt construct something more sensual!? Now it is going to be an easier ride playing on the chemistry of kipuka and Elliott for the pulling and pushing of their relationship. . LPE was brilliant in the scene with SWL trying to make a case for pregnant Omegas, very moving. I was clapping when he throw his resignation at him. I think the sex is too bland here. You dont need nudity or Thai style fireworks. We have just seen this in Kill to Love, two emperors fully dressed with committing kissing can deliver sensuality to burn the screen. We cant fault Elliot and Kipuka, it is all in the direction and design of the scene.
