The book had a 5 year timeskip towards the end. I suspect that this drama will bring that time skip forward, but…
They are trimming some parts out of the novel. I hope they don't trim too much out. I'm interested in seeing how closely the drama follows the book. One thing I'm pretty sure they'll completely remove is Anueng's interesting romantic preferences (wink).
Please anyone have this novel please send mee how can i read without buying
It can only be read in the app, because it is encrypted. But you should buy it and support the author. It's really not that expensive, and it's really good. There is a twist in the book that I am 95% sure will not be in the drama. https://www.mebmarket.com/ebook-278699-Blank--English-version
I'm clueless about this, so forgive the stupid question. How do you use your own subtitles? And if it is something that anyone can do, would you be willing to share yours? I agree that the only weakness with the drama is the low quality English subtitles.
I find it interesting when I see an actress (e.g. Kim Joo Ryoung) in a drama who did an explicit nude sex scene when they were younger (Plum Blossom). I often wonder if they regret it now they are older, especially considering how conservative South Korean society is. Although in her case probably not, as she did a topless sex scene only 2 years ago in Squid Games.
Slow-moving, soft-core porn. What would a Jeon Do Yeon movie be without nudity?
In the same year that she did this (essentially soft porn) movie, she also played an innocent schoolgirl in "The Harmonium in My Memory". I'll give her props for the diversity of characters she has played. Also, having a very young appearance helps.
that’s because the character he’s playing is monotone….
That doesn't explain his expressionless face. Good actors can play a cold, emotionless character and make it look like a cold, emotionless character, rather than an actor with limited acting skills. His face is often (almost always) frozen when he acts. Also, I've seen him in another drama in which his acting was similar. If you know of a drama that he was in that showed some acting ability, please let me know. Unlike most people on the internet, if I'm wrong, I want to know so I can change my view.
I'm half way through the drama and I'm enjoying it very much. I do want to say however that Yang Yang has extremely limited acting skills. He speaks in an expressionless monotone constantly and his face is entirely devoid of any emotion. It seems pretty clear to me that he gets cast due to his appearance, and not his acting ability. While I'm having a rant, I'll also mention that I hate, hate, HATE the trope of noble idiocy that is used WAY TOO often by drama writers. In my opinion, it is lazy writing that reveals a lack of imagination from the script writer.
Quite a good drama, but not an easy watch. It is certainly thought provoking, but its also a bit depressing. If you're looking for a fluffy, feel-good drama, then this probably isn't for you. 8/10 from me.
The book had a 5 year timeskip towards the end. I suspect that this drama will bring that time skip forward, but because they made the characters older in the drama than in the book (by 2 years), there is less urgency to have an early time skip. But I guess we'll find out soon enough.
Attention almost all K-Drama screen writers. It is possible to have characters behave rationally and participate in a mature, healthy relationship and still produce an engaging, entertaining drama. But I will make this criticism, because it annoyed me so much. I simply didn't find it remotely believable that someone like Lu Zhao Xi would flirt with his ex-girlfriend in front of Ye Shi Lan to ... I assume ... make her jealous (the swimming pool scene). That is something I'd expect from a 12 year old boy, not the 30 year old President of a Hospital. Including that ridiculous scene was (in my opinion) poor writing. But other than that criticism, I found this to be an exceptionally good drama. 9/10 from me.
