Initially, I was really enjoying this, but dropped it during episode 21. I just found Xin Qi's behaviour was becoming too toxic for my taste. He is becoming increasingly manipulative and selfish. All that seems to matter to him is what he wants, and he is happy to lie, deceive, stalk, fake injury and illness to try to get it. He consistently ignores, disrespects or dismisses Min Hui's desires when they conflict with his own. This contrasts sharply with Yao Zi Zhu who was prepared to give up on Zhou Ru Ji, because she prioritised his happiness over her desires. Clearly other viewers found Xin Qi's manipulative behaviour "cute" or "romantic", but I just don't enjoy watching a man coerce or manipulate a woman, and I find it disappointing when a female script writer writes her male characters like that. 6½/10 from me.
Just finished this brilliant series. Close to perfection. Acting was excellent, story was realistic and soothing (slow slice of life drama), cinematography was breathtaking. This is the best Chinese drama I've ever watched, and probably my second all time favourite drama from any country, only slightly behind "My Mister". If anyone knows of other dramas that are similar to this one, please feel free to share them with me. 9½/10 from me.
Read the description at the top of the page. If that plot line interests you, then watch it. If you are bothered…
I can't remember any unambigious cheating scenes. One main female character broke up with her loser boyfriend before she hooked up with a new guy. The other main female character didn't have relationships, she just had sex partners, so even the concept of "cheating" isn't meaningful in her situation. There is one scene where two very attractive work colleagues have spontaneous sex in their office. I'd speculate that cheating was probable because it seems unlikely that both of these people would be single, given their appearance. But again, this is speculation. The show provides no details of these characters relationship status.
after reading so many comments i can't make a decision whether to watch it or not can anyone tell me the details…

Rant:They made the ML chase and get rejected by the FL like 4-5 times and at the end he was the one that made…
But the ML was INCREDIBLY IMMATURE. Remember, he picked his nose and wiped the snot in someone's sandwich. He was sulky, selfish and manipulative. No sane professional woman in her 30s would even consider a relationship with such a petulant adolesent.
guys i need drama like this where parents are super supportive like this one
One of the parents was very much NOT supportive of their relationship, at least at the start. Then she suddenly became supportive, which I personally found completely unbelievable.
Just finshed this drama. It was really good - a very solid 9/10 from me. One thing that did surprise me was the clip from the Korean movie "Obsessed" that Lin Yang and Lu Zheng An were watching on TV. I really doubt that "Obsessed" would be shown on Chinese TV with its lengthy, very explicit sex scenes, and I'm even surprised the censors allowed the clip from the movie to be included in this drama. Anyway, a great drama which dealth with the age gap issue appropriately and believably.
Not really a love triangle. Just a girl with a crush on the ML, and the ML had zero interest in her and made that perfectly clear from the start. Actually, there was also a second female interested in the ML, but again, she had no chance.
I'm watching it before it leaves Netflix, and I'm mostly enjoying it so far (I'm up to Ep 10). But I do find the constant sexual harrassment of Xiang Yue Qin by Jin Zhi Zhu to be problematic. I really wish writers didn't normalise sexual harrassment by trying to make it "cute". I've decided to drop this drama. The arrogant ML who constantly puts down the FL annoys me almost as much as the arrogant SML who sexually harrasses her. I simply don't enjoy watching dickheads constantly mistreating women.
She's definitely one of the more "open minded" Korean actresses, especially considering her age. But I guess actresses who make their living doing small bit-part roles are more likely to agree to take their clothes off to get a role.
