Title My Dear Boy
What is the age difference of leads in drama ?
The ML is aged 20 in the drama. The FL's age hasn't been stated yet (I'm only up to Ep 5), but she is clearly in her 30s, probably mid to late 30s. Ruby Lin was aged in her early 40s when she filmed this drama. Edit: I've watched Episode 7, and the FL says she is 30, so there is a 10 year age gap between them, but in terms of maturity, I'd estimate its closer to 20 years because the ML is incredibly immature for the first 15 episodes of this drama.

Title My Dear Boy Spoiler
LOT'S OF SPOILERS - READ AT OWN RISK.
I've just started watching this drama, after having watched (and really enjoyed) the Chinese remake. I'm enjoying this drama, and I'm going to make this comment while only up to Ep 5. The male lead is incredibly immature. He's 20 in the drama, but at times acts like he's 13. Unless he experiences very significant growth in his maturity, I'm just not going to believe that any sane professional women aged in her 30s would, for even one second, seriously consider dating him. Here's hoping his character starts to grow up.
Ep 9: Slight maturity growth from ML - now has a career focus. Will it last?
Ep 10: ML has regressed. He's sulking like a petulant child again.
Ep 11: ML acting like an disgusting juvenile (picked nose and wiped snot in sandwich), and this was after he returned from military service. I was hoping the military may have forced him to grow up a bit. Aparently not.
Ep 13: ML confessed to FL. He got rejected. He is still VERY immature, behaving more like an adolescent than an adult.
Ep 14: Not a great start to this episode. ML has basically vowed to stalk FL and then demands that she love him. Then he lies to his parents that FL is his girlfriend. Yep - that's very mature and not at all creepy.
Ep 15: ML spends the episode sulking and being selfish and manipulative. What started as a cute rom-com is turning quite dark, with the ML's creepy, stalkerish, manipulative behaviour. And now FL concludes that she doesn't deserve him because she has a daughter (rolls eyes). And now he FORCES himself on her and she pushes him away twice, but on the third attempt she submits. FUCK!!! I wasn't expecting sexual assault, but the writer went there. She then un-submits and rejects him again, and he again vows to continue his stalking until he wears her down. So very many red flags.
Ep 16: And it looks like he's finally worn down her resistance, so now she's with the person who only a few weeks ago was wiping his snot in someone's sandwich. He's still so immature and manipulative, constantly thinking only of himself.
Ep 17: Still selfish. Still manipulative. Still sulky. Immediately reacts with violence when he gets angry. No character growth yet from this infant.
Ep 18: 5 year time skip. If ever a drama NEEDED a time skip, it is this drama. For the love of sweet baby Jesus, PLEASE have our ML no longer be an adolescent.
Ep 20: Since the time skip, ML is acting like an adult rather than a child, so that's a relief.
Final Comments: I think the Chinese remake was much better than this version, although this version had the potential to be the better drama. I think this version would have been much better if the ML didn't act like he was 13 years old for the first 15 episodes, and if the FL hadn't been worn down by his constant advances. Nothing felt believable or comfortable when she was in her brief "relationship" with the child he then was.
The last few episodes (post time skip) were the best in my opinion, and the show partially redeemed itself from its earlier missteps (except when he forced himself on her again - apparently consent doesn't matter if you really like someone).
7 / 10 from me.

A fucking hidden gem. Loved every single part of it Main leads were dynamic together.Don't know, I just cried…
Just in case you didn't know, there is a Chinese remake of it which I think is very good https://kisskh.at/732835-sunshine-with-me. I think the Chinese remake is MUCH better than this version. At least the ML in the Chinese version isn't so immature, petulant, selfish and manipulative.

Quite a cute movie and I found it entertaining enough to hold my attention for the entire runtime. I've given it 7½ / 10.

A really entertaining slow burn, Noona romance. I think Bai Bai He was the standout performer, and I'm going to check out some of her other work. There are a few little things that weren't exactly to my preference, but I'm not even going to mention them. A solid 9/10 from me.

why are writers so obsessed w noona dramas..
I also love Noona dramas. Perhaps its because my wife is 5 years older than me. And also, my daughter's boyfriend is 4 years younger than her.

Yes. But lots of differnece in the screenplay.
I'm 24 episodes in, and I can safely say there is no way she would ever get back with her ex-husband. He, however would get back with her in a second if she'd have him (which she won't). It's a classic case of you don't know what you've lost until it's gone.

The FL dresses and hairstyle are appropriate for her role. She is after all a successful advertising director…
She doesn't look old to me. Quite frankly, she looks absolutely amazing for her age. Their age gap is only 2 years more than my wife and me, so I certainly don't have a problem with it.

It comes down to personal preference I think. I might be in the minority, but I actually preferred the Chinese…
I agree with both of your opinions. Zhang Wan Yi's acting skills are very limited. He literally does only have two expressions. And the production of the Korean version is better. But even so, I still (slightly) preferred the Chinese version. I guess it comes down to the differences in the story. I also preferred the ending (again slightly) of the Chinese version.

This is my best romance kdrama. I’m still looking for another drama that comes close to this one. It was very…
There is a Chinese remake of "One Spring Night". Based on their MDL scores, I realise I'm in the minority, but I actually preferred the Chinese version over the original Korean version. But both version are excellent and worth watching for anyone who likes slow burn romances. https://kisskh.at/716327-wo-zhi-dao-wo-ai-ni

Anyone wanting a new noona romance there is a cute Thai drama called intern in my heart super cute with fantasy…
I'll give that a look. Noona romances are one of my favourite stories, and this will be my first Thai drama that wasn't a GL drama.
