Title Run On Spoiler
im confused why does the ML want to be in trouble so badly? Like yes he hit those guys, but they were assaulting…
Seon Gyeom is painfully aware of how the system works in his sports team: if he had merely complained about the abuse committed by his teammates it would have been swept under the mat. His abused junior is not as important as the abusers, who were brought into the team by the manager.
So he decides to give them something that they can’t sweep under the mat: a high profile athlete, son of an assemblyman, who admits to assaulting his team members. It’s the only way he feels he can shine a light on what’s happening… hoping the media will pick up the story.
That’s why he insists on being punished. And that's why his bosses resist punishing him... they know they'll have to punish the other two as well.

I think he is making decisions for himself all the time. As far as I could make out of the story he decided to…
I also hope, like you said, that he can get away from his dad's expectations, because this obviously weighs him down. Even if he does make his own decisions.

Title Run On Spoiler
Im guessing the ML's personality is because he never got to make decisions for himself because of his dad. I hope…
I think he is making decisions for himself all the time. As far as I could make out of the story he decided to go into athletics (javelin). And when his arm got injured he decided on running instead of soccer. He decided not to live with his parents. He decided to stand up for his junior knowing the consequences.
I think his personality is the way it is because his father never acknowledged his decisions and openly opposed them. And his mother was never there for support either.
I think he is expressing himself more because MiJoo does.

It's cute... it's sexy... yes yes... but also… a pretty open and direct social commentary on stuff like misogyny, bullying, age and class, parental pressure… but done without trying too hard... This drama is much more interesting than just being cute.

I am loving this drama and binged-watched it in 2 DAYS AND COMPLETELY emotionally wrecked. I would love to read…
I found this. No idea if it's complete or not. Couldn't find it yet on other manga sites (I don't usually read from this site). I don't think I'll read it myself anyway... the drama is awesome enough for me.

My first dorama (J-drama) were ‘Gokusen’, ‘Nobuta wo Produce’, ‘Hana Kimi 2007’, ‘Buzzer Beat’ and ‘Rich Man, Poor Woman’ (all great). Some of my favorites are ‘Tenno no Ryoriban’, ‘Code Blue’, ‘Soratobu Kouhoushitsu’, ‘Dele’, and ‘Juhan Shuttai!!’. There are some great new ones out there right now too. Just some of the ones I’d recommend: ‘Ore no Hanashi wa Nagai’, ‘Unnatural’, ‘Ossan’s Love’, ‘You and I on the G-String’, ‘Rental Nan mo Shinai Hito’, ‘Watashitachi wa Douka Shiteiru’, and ‘MIU 404’ (seriously… ‘MIU 404’ is awesome!!).

And yes... Netflix should be ashamed of itself!
