Have you watched him in Gap Dong? The drama wasn't good but he was FLAWLESS. To me an actor who can stand out in a bad drama is something very much admirable!! so YES LJ is very much someone to boast about he has earned it :)

Haha I'm the one who added him, I kept repeating the scene over and over to make sure it's him (I was surprised XD). He just appeared for seconds though and he wasn't a "good" character lol.
That's exactly how I felt!! the first episodes made me so angry I hated all the things that were happening to HJE's character and hated that she blindly accepting them all in the name of love. However after she went to jail from then I couldn't stop watching and couldn't even remember how the hell I hated it in the 1st place. My feelings for the drama changed drastically as I watched it and became one of the best melodramas I've seen.
As for acting HJE is a QUEEN of melo!! comedy is not her thing if you watch her in She Was Pretty you will understand what I mean. In KMHM she was bearable but in SWP she was absolutely overbearing I had to remind myself of her performances in the two melodramas I've watched for her to remember why I liked her. She is meant for melo and Secret is by FAR her BEST performance (I can never forget her burst of tears and only she can make me love a character like Kang Yoo Jung). Ji Sung is FLAWLESS!! as you said a man loving the woman who killed his lover (pregnant) this is something far from realistic and I believe if it wasn't for Ji Sung I wouldn't have believed it even if the story was written well. His acting was so convincing I always forget that it's acting with this guy. I really believed his confused feelings. Bae Su Bin is an outstanding actor!! this man is scary good he'll leave you with hatred feelings every time he does such roles I really admire him. Lee Da Hee is simply expressionless actress the only drama that I appreciated her in is I Can Hear Your Voice. I'm guessing you've only seen these two dramas for her? If you watched her other ones you'll see that she has the ability to keep on one face the whole show.
I don't know about you but I LOVE the scene where he strangled her in the 1st ep!! one of the most intense and unforgettable scenes in dramas. I LOVE JS & HJE on screen chemistry also one of the best on screen couple.

I agree with you on everything except not watching KMHM, I was like you I actually have seen it at the end of this year along with Healer. Both are overhyped but one lived up to its reputation and one didn't. I appreciate KMHM for the performance that Ji Sung has presented (7 different characters in one show) whereas Healer had nothing new to offer (it was like watching a thriller movie but long one). I look at it this way I would suggest KMHM to someone who knows nothing about K dramas as their 1st drama but I wouldn't suggest Healer because it has nothing that I would introduce to someone new to this world. I'm not sure if there is someone who can understand what I meant by that.

I'm super sad that Yong Pal and Answer Me 1988 aren't getting more recognition then I think they deserve, BUT…
I would say the same thing about Healer "I never really got the whole Healer hype". Both dramas are over hyped but at least KMHM has Ji Sung and he was EXCEPTIONAL this man did 7 characters in one show!! Healer doesn't even deserve to win in best thriller category because it belongs to Missing Noir *very underrated*. If I wanted to watch something like Healer I would rather watch hollywood movie.

I already have mentioned that I watched this one in 2015, so no not all people think that it's too old to be good. When was it aired does not reflect quality as I watched old dramas in recent years and think they are better than new ones. WS still lives on like no other drama has and has tourists coming from all over the world all the year to check Nami Island which became famous thanks to this drama and the main leads have their statues built there. Those dramas you have mentioned I doubt that they'll live on in people's memory after 10 or 20 years no matter how good you may think of them now. Healer got popular with foreign fans not in Korea it was completely ignored here.
