Interesting point of view, my friend couldn't finish it she said it reminded her of old Mexican telenovas. This drama is one of my top fav. but I still like to read about different interesting views if expressed in the best manners.
This is NOT a rom-com!! It says that on the page right there in the genre there is no comedy why do people keep…
"Light comedy" not rom-com.
Many dramas out there have some sort of comedy into them even melo dramas do, teaser did not suggest any sort of rom-com it's very clear that this is a drama romance and a warm one.
Teaser for Master Sun suggested "scary" does it make me expect a horror drama? no it doesn't. The teaser wasn't misleading at all, maybe because there were no subs to the dialogue and lines mentioned in there people went astray.
Seriously people would press 'NO' on reviews just because they don't agree with the grading even if the review is well written... -_-
In your case someone pressed no probably because you said "I don't like Gong Hyo Jin"... I agree with you though I do like GHJ her character here was so childish and annoying.
This is NOT a rom-com!! It says that on the page right there in the genre there is no comedy why do people keep blaming the drama for not having comedy when it DIDN'T promise you any I don't get it o_O
"Would i recommend it? If you are a kpop fan, you like romantic comedies about first love and you don't want to watch anything deep, then sure, go ahead." I guess that's why I couldn't keep watching it even though I have no problem with light rom-com.
I agree with everything you mentioned, I watched this drama while it was airing so I had better chance to like it back then than now but I didn't.
I don't know if I'll ever pick it up again but I do want to watch the sequels.
One thing to note, my friends who watched this when it was airing and loved it have said that the thing they loved the most is the fact that they couldn't know who will she end up with. That was confusing to people who watched this drama "while" it was airing.
When the drama ended it was obvious from all the raves, reviews, pictures, interviews...etc who is she choosing at the end. It is impossible for anyone who watched this drama after it aired not to know this. It's can't be helped but be predictable.
Shin Eun Kyung one of K dramas best villains!!
Go Hyun Jung loved her in What's Up Fox I want to watch Dae Mul for her.
Lee Mi Yeon is so beautiful I saw her in Crazy For You.
Kim Hye Soo as Miss Kim in Queen of The Office <3
Jin Kyung I liked her best in Good Doctor
LOL then I guess I should go ahead and judge any person who is doing anything that goes against anything I stand for or believe in if I don't want to be thought of as "DUMB" (what a an absurd statement and people pray for world peace yeah right).
Funny how you talk about violence and abuse and how women should be respected when you yourself not taking into note the basic manners a healthy conversation/debate/argument should have.
"Does that mean that opinion shouldn't be judged or there is some sort of exception or limit to what should and should not be judged? I don't see why I should RESPECT every opinion out there, that's not only outrageous but also dumb" I don't see why you should DISRESPECT them (that's not only ignorant but dumb).
Certainly don't see how on earth by not respecting them would you ever make a point or what could you ever gain from not showing respect? Oh well, since I won't be able to force my opinion/views down their throats might as well make them feel bad about theirs and judge them by offending/belittling their mindset? is that it?
He's a great person not just an actor, if you check his twitter he is one of the few celebs who cares about the thing that is happening in the world specially things that suffer from injustice in news coverage.
Whether you watched them when it aired or years later to some dramas it makes a difference to others it doesn't. WS is one that in my opinion doesn't matter whether I watched it in 2002 or 2015 (which I did) :)
I understand that to some fans modern ways and new dramas are better, not everyone appreciate classics after all. However, classic ones aren't labeled as "classic" for no reason and WS isn't considered legendary one for no reason no matter how repetitive the content was no drama has given me the feelings that WS did. Bae Yong Jun's character I've never seen any male character in any drama or movie like his (I totally understand his popularity back then and now).
And no it is not exaggerations it's a fact I live in Korea and study here and I know everything about WS, you can search it if you want how much money did this drama make for south korea and how much money it still do. The island is in fact EXCLUSIVE to WS I find it strange that you are saying it's not when you haven't even visited it. No other dramas are mentioned there and people are only visiting it for the drama not for the island the island existed before the drama but it wasn't famous and no tourists would think of going there. There are far more better islands which aren't man made. The actor doesn't even need to do any dramas because he is the richest celebrity in Korea and still is. Please don't "assume" things and do your research because I'm not speaking from zero background.
Well, I disagree with you on the "cliche and not special" wording and on everything else you said except "touching love story with great chemistry and acting of the leads. The music is pretty good too. It'll get stuck into your head forever" this I do agree very much. Nonetheless, I respect your opinion thanks for sharing :)
