btw I am just thinking now, why did she not know her father's real name or that he was with the police? did he…
Still, would you not know at about 6 what your parents do? it's like the age everybody looks up to their parent and their job is their dream job. But never mind, it just felt strange as if they had not a close relationship even before going undercover, or I don't know why.
I believe Mu Jin also used Ji Woo for his revenge on Gi Ho for planting an undercover cop on him, and let her…
of course I understand her feelings to certain point, but it felt like she helped solve the cases just to look good and go higher, so she can join the team of supposed murderer of her father, it felt to me like she sided with criminals mostly, arguing on meetings like why the police do not want to interrupt violent gang wars to save those people, not sure if a real policeman would ever think like that, since those gangsters would not think twice before killing them
I have started to watch this, however after two episodes in, Netflix took this away without a warning :D But anyway, I do not think I would try to finish it another way since as someone wrote in the comments, the drama makes the viewer feel like a victim. It was suspenseful, but to the point it was almost suffering for me watching it, the people being hurt or scared. Also why the police always argues about roles and ordering ppl around etc, when someone's life is on the line.? And the rumors they were just sharing between themselves and blindly believing, like the level of it seemed to be apt for teenagers, not police officers, but oh well...and why the police employs a seemingly drunken policeman? Even if he had a traumatic past, he did not seem to be suitable for the police anymore...
I just wanted to write a similar comment and then I saw yours :D Exactly my thoughts! I was thinking throughout…
I am at episode 6 and it is getting better, but the chemistry is still yet to appear probably, they do not have that many scenes together for me to say it is strong or not. However, it's getting stupid how Jae Hee is always a spineless b**** even in front of ML, but if she shows she is hurt or something, he goes all sorry for her and protective, like what the ****, are you a complete idiot?
This was quite enjoyable and easy to follow, I mostly liked Tae Woon and Dae Hwi, and the acting of their actors…
As for the conflict between Eun Ho and Tae Woon, it was just dumb from her side. Her family situation got worse, she was probably ashamed in front of Tae Woon, so she lied to him saying she has to work because her laptop broke. So he bought a drawing tablet for her (which I believe was really nice from him) so she would not have to stop drawing as that is her dream, and she just kept pushing him away, throwing the laptop since oooh, it's so easy for him to do stuff like this. Even if so, I mean why she would be angry that he did something for her? And if he thinks it is so easy to fix her troubles, when it's more complicated, well, maybe he would not think so if she told him the truth. At the end, she just broke his heart being all mean to him and pushing him away after he confessed to her. Later others called him selfish, but are you serious? He is selfish because he bought her something? Well, sorry that he has a rich dad and at least he tried to do something for her, and not buy himself an expensive thing instead. Also one thing I never understand is that her family situation was really bad, but she never stopped buying lemonades and stuff every day. The same for other kids
I like the lead actress but really dislike her character here. Her character is not sympathetic at all. She is…
Agree :D I disliked her for complaining all the time how the school wants her to actually do something else besides her hobbies. She came to school to only draw every day I guess.
I feel like i watched a big Coffeebay commercial instead of a drama.
and one for Subway as well :D and I remember one scene, where Tae Woon and Dae Hwi were sitting next to each other and were drinking Coke, it looked like a CF as well :D
Important question: Is there a breakup in this drama? Primarily between the main couple.
I would say there is one for me illogical conflict between them when they do not really talk to each other for a part of an episode, but they were not yet dating really at that point. But it seemed to me like in every drama the couples just need to break up for a moment (I hardly see a drama without this), so for me it did not really make sense :D
This was quite enjoyable and easy to follow, I mostly liked Tae Woon and Dae Hwi, and the acting of their actors…
Kim Jung Hyun is not typically handsome, but he was rather charming as Tae Woon. Later I have found out that he is the actor that got manipulated into stuff by Seo Yea Ji. I believe he really has a great potential, so it would be such a shame to waste it because of some jealous woman. Many were saying how he cannot blame anyone because those were his actions. Well yes, but if men are manipulative or aggressive towards women, it's a bad thing and the men are at fault, which is true, but when women are like that, guys should be smarter and it's their fault? I believe women can be as bad as men could be. While I believe he made some stupid decisions because of Yea Ji, I have lost my respect for her that I might have had if I had seen more of her dramas.
This was quite enjoyable and easy to follow, I mostly liked Tae Woon and Dae Hwi, and the acting of their actors as well. With rich kids, mostly we get arrogant jerks and bad boys that are loved by everyone for some reason, however here I do not think this was the case, at least for the ML part. Tae Woon was not a bully, he might seem cold, but was not harassing people or anything, he was just rather an introvert, and a sensitive guy inside. Although he was described selfish many times, I could not agree really with it. If other people involved themselves in his stuff, he should not be responsible for them, but he still tried to be taking care of others. Watching him made me wish I had a classmate like him as well. I also liked Kyung Woo, the guitar guy, who just seemed to know a lot of stuff about his classmates since he was watching people a lot. As for Ra Eun Ho, I think her character was portrayed greater than she really was. Sometimes she was really brave alone, but then later even if she received support from Tae Woon and others, she just wanted to give up. I am actually not sure how she was even able to proceed to a higher class each year, she was never studying. I get it that you do not have to like studying and want to draw, however she just was not listening in classes at all, like c'mon, can't you at least show some effort? Not everyone has to be the first ranked student, but she had almost the worst results. "I don't like it so I won't do it." This is not even how it works in the adult life, so as a teenager I think she just lacked discipline :D She was also very illogical at times (the argument with Tae Woon was just probably a necessary fight for the script as it did not make sense). As for Se Jeong's acting, in the beginning I found it quite unnatural, later it got better, but still her intonation sounded robotic at times, so the acting quality was switching between fine and not so fine. Her smile was supposed to be cute, but for me it was kind of cringy and unnatural again. For me, she was quite a cute character, unless she smiled :D I also believe she did not give Tae Woon the credit he deserved, and often underappreciated him, saying that stuff were easy for him, like he had no feelings, like having a rich dad would mean nothing is bothering him, even after she got to know him better. As for the school theme, I just could not agree with the "you should understand and befriend your bully" kind of thinking. I believe bullies should be punished, feel sorry to the victim and then people can try to talk to them and understand their actions and whatever. It was like the victims had to do the effort, while bullies were treated as normal kids, because they are not criminals, wtf. I liked the teacher Shim for supporting his students, however if the kids are just bad, you cannot justify their actions forever and protect them, just let them be punished, they have to learn one way or another what is right and what wrong. I just could not agree with a lot of stuff that was said there. Even the drama premise saying "school that discriminates against rich and poor, and believes that the best students are the ones with the best grades." I mean there have to be some criteria, like who is the best student otherwise? The one whose grades just suck, but they like to come to school to chat with friends? There does not have to be this cut-throat competition for best grades, but they were just disgusted because the school wants them to learn stuff.
I just wanted to write a similar comment and then I saw yours :D Exactly my thoughts! I was thinking throughout…
I can somehow understand that, but yes, you put it right, he is just constantly making bad choices, so maybe at the end he will finally set his mind straight? LOL
PPL usually makes me laugh because hardly it is done nonchalantly in the dramas I have watched. I can't remember the brand, but in My Familiar Wife, sometimes it was like a commercial for the Korean water that is just super refreshing :D In Hit The Top, I was constantly seeing the deer antler extract, in Vagabond and School 2017 it is Subway that always makes you go "aah, this is super tasty, mmm" :D I could go on and on. I don't mind quick shots on what they are drinking etc., but if they zoom on the same brand of coffee and constantly comment on how it's delicious, and then they go home and we watch them apply a face cream or whatever proudly looking at themselves in the mirror, like wow, this is the best product, that is just too much and it's just ridiculous. Even for brands available in my country, seeing it like this, I would hardly say "oh, this looks great, I want to buy it", I would just think it's stupid :D
I started to watch it, but the synopsis on Netflix did not say much, so I was quite shocked about this secret related to appearance :D I have thought it would be something else, so I did not like it (checking the synopsis here now, it says much more). Probably I am one of the very few, but I did no t like the acting either, so I dropped it.
This was a very suspenseful drama, although in the middle I was sure who the murder of her father is, but never…
btw I am just thinking now, why did she not know her father's real name or that he was with the police? did he not go undercover about 10 years ago? So she was maybe 7, I don't know, but did not know any of it? It's not like she was 2 and could not speak or understand. And why even before going undercover her dad would never tell her that he is a policeman? Does not really make sense to me...
This was a very suspenseful drama, although in the middle I was sure who the murder of her father is, but never…
LOL and I cannot forget to mention the epic falling of Gang Jae when Ji Woo shot him :D Everything looks real in the fights and suddenly we have Gang Jae visibly throwing himself over and falling in a slow-motion like a puppet, too bad we could not see the ropes holding him too :D It's like the editing team took a break at that moment and simply forgot to fix this before the release LOL
But never mind, it just felt strange as if they had not a close relationship even before going undercover, or I don't know why.
