As much as I wanted to like this drama, there are too many ridiculous, illogical and nonsensical scenes that made this drama unbearable. Although the drama has a seemingly cold male lead, his character is truly soul-stirring, loving, caring, and the most understanding of them all. The female lead, under the pretense of been a feminist, comes out as selfish, shallow, and unable to fully love the male lead. As a detective type drama, the leading couple has smart deductible thinking and good chemistry; as a romantic drama, it’s dull and tedious to watch. Then the last episode tops it all with the most absurd twist that leaves the viewer frustrated and balked.

This drama is a romantic comedy that doesn’t deliver either genre well, it is full of clichés (cross-dressing, fated relationship, prosopagnosia, a galore of accidental and interrupted kisses that lead to nothing and a clueless female lead). The cluelessness of the female lead drags for almost the entire 24 episodes, bringing the chemistry among the leading couple to a halt. This drama would have been better if the plot was set in a high school environment, even if the characters were freshman in college; the drama had a high school feel. The drama is not a disaster; it is just that the romance is so slow burning that it causes exasperation because the female character doesn’t deliver the amorous feel. The drama is entertaining and would be a nice one to watch while waiting for a great one to come.

Stolen Moonlight (2025) is a crime revenge miniseries with a slow burn romance between the lead couple played by ML: Huai Wen (as Xie Lin) and FL: Fu Yu Shu (as Lin Shu Yue). The leading couple had suffered injustice under the antagonist's plot to take everything from their families; he rigorously trains the female lead for his illegal and forced gambling activities and keeps her on a tight leash that is loosened once the male lead gets her by accident while targeting her adoptive brother. As she recovered from amnesia, her memories brought back her tragic past, and she partnered with the male lead to exact revenge on the antagonist. The leading couple had good chemistry as partners in crime and one nice romantic scene, but there was a cloud of somberness hovering over them. The end is nice and sweet, with wide bright smiles that hinted at a dazzling future.

The romance is slow burn but the relationship becomes strong and steadfast as they grow to love each other.

Title: A Dash of Sweetness (2025) is a nice romance miniseries with Gan Wang Xing (as Han Zhan) and Yu Yin as (Shi Yin) in the leading couple’s role. This is another adaptation from the web novel "San Fen Guai", also known as "Shi Xiao Jie Jin Tian Ye Bu Guai" (时小姐今天也不乖), by Han Da Bai (韩大白 and it has a few things that were not in “Bie Chai Chuan Wo De Guai (2025)”. The genre is categorized as romance but there are more plots than storyline is definitely more revenge than romance. The romance on this drama is slow burn with a lot of teasing and cute interactions between the leading couple, one well done intimate scenes and also some not very satisfying romantic scenes. Overall, the miniseries is a nice revenge drama, enjoy it!

Love Lost and Found (2025) is a nice romance miniseries with Liu Xiao Xu (as Jiang Ci Yun) and Wang Xiao Yi (as Tang Ying) in the leading’s couple role. the plot of romance and revenge is written well and the leading couple worked together to achieve justice. The lead couple’s chemistry was on and off, especially due to the leading lady. The romance developed slowly and the leading man managed to earn his wife’s trust and love. Jiang Ci Yun was straightforward and approached Tang Ying in a loving and protective steady pace. The leading lady was written in a bit boring way and the end, although they ended up together, was rushed and almost spoiled by a ridiculous twist that is way too cliché on conflicted relationships, no matter the reason. A few more minutes could’ve given a more solid and satisfying conclusion. Still, the drama is nice.

The cast did a good job bringing their characters to life and the leading couple has a nice suave chemistry. Qin Yan Zhou finally has a chance to be with Liang You Xin which was expected to marry his friend Lu Yu since they were young. A as fate has its way to bring people together, Lian You Xin has an accident and fakes amnesia to tease Lu Yu who is having an affair with her friend. In order to have some fun with his lover before Liang You Xin gets her memory back, Lu Yu pushed Liang You Xin to his friend Qin Yan Zhou and Liang You Xin just plays along and embarks in journey through unchartered territory with Qin Yan Zhou who showers her with attention, protection, and steadfast love.

Wen Ruan Mei Gui Lun Wei Ta Xin Jian Pian Chong (2025) is a nice Sci-fi action romance miniseries with Ben Wang as Ji Ming Chen and Hou Cheng Yue as Wen Yao in the lead couple’s role and is set in an apocalyptic zombies era. The cast did a good job bringing their characters to life and, taking in consideration that apocalypses genres are quite futuristic and requires complicated settings, the filmmakers did a great job bringing the apocalyptical feel from dilapidated settings, colors, wardrobe, furniture, etc. The lead couple has good chemistry and a couple of swoon worthy romantic scenes. The drama could’ve have more of the lead couple’s romance without interruption (maybe an attempt at comedy?) instead of giving so much screen time to the female antagonist but, in spite of that, the drama is enjoyable and entertaining. Abusive Writing Heroine (2025) is a nice romance fantasy miniseries with a dose of comedy with Yu Long (as Zhou Yu) and Yang Mie Mie (as Su Nuan Nuan) in the leading couple’s role. The drama needed more time to develop the fantasy theme and give the audience a longer ending in the real world. Some of the cast were a little bit of on their acting but Yu Long and Yang Mie Mie did very well on their romance and have great chemistry. The plot is a little bit off but the romance is very good.

Limited Engagement (2024) is a romance drama with Chen Si (as Gu Mo Shen) and Wang Yun Yun/Cai Cai Yun a(s Su Mian) in the leading couple’s role. The drama is not really a romance drama; it is Su Mian’s revenge against her father for betraying her mother and her path to be with Gu Mo Shen. Su Mian navigates her relationship with Mo Shen through prevarication in order to conceal the truth or avoid committing to a relationship because of her past experiences. Mo Shen falls in love early in the relationship and is willing to do anything to protect her. The cast did a good job bringing their characters to life but the writers forgot give the main lead’s relationship a real chance to develop the romance plot wasting Chen Si and Wang Yun Yun’s opportunity to show their romantic skills. The drama ended up leaving the audience expecting romance and just gave a revenge storyline with no excitement.

Sorry, I'm the Lead (2025)/ Bao Qian Wo Na De Shi Nv Zhu Ju Ben (2025) is a very good miniseries with Xiong Yun Hao and Wang Mu Xuan in the leading couple’s role. The drama is nice and the leading couple has good chemistry, if only they would have more screen time! One can only conclude that the title “Sorry, I’m the Lead” refers to the leading lady’s role as she navigates a betrayal, antagonists shenanigans, and finding a supportive and great steadfast love. Still, her romance could’ve used more screen time since, by the end, their chemistry was getting really good.
