All of these had one prominent male character who was obviously the main lead, because the story was told from his point of view. However another guy either gets the girl or the main romance line is theirs, while the main guy leads the rest of the story forward.

My biggest sls was in Go Back Couple and School 2015. However, to me a second lead is a character whose story it isn't, but he/she plays a big role in a drama. So there could be a leading guy who is more prominent, but there is also another male character who doesn't get as much screen time/or the story isn't told from his pov. There are a good few dramas where second lead does get the girl. I'll leave some examples in a separate post with a spoiler.

Fingers crossed! I am eagerly looking forward to any news about this. Loving the webtoon so far. I hope Jang Ki Yong confirms this project soon, he has the perfect look and vibe for the character in my opinion.

He didn't die, but the FL in that drama died in his world. He got all the power he wanted, but he had very few people to trust or rely on in the end

MrHyde I am exactly like you, I hate hate hate when a FL is chasing a ML. However in this drama it's somehow ok, the vibe that the FL gives me is " I am going to take this man to my bed and spit him out when I tire of him" . Besides his personal problems that keep him away from everybody I think ML is afraid of this too, he doesn't believe that she feels anything real for him. For once I am actually scared the girl will hurt the guy and not visa versa.

Well everything depends on a perspective I suppose. We all judge things based on our experiences in life.
For example I get bored easier than most of the people that I have met, thus I have no patience to continue the shows I deemed boring unless the circumstances force me to , so I think everyone does the same :-)

I agree with you on the FL, unfortunately she was not a well written character, I am not saying I totally hated her, but I would have preferred a better explanation for her actions. The MLs substituted for it tenfold though imho.

In the end we probably need to agree to disagree on the rating ;-)

Well I try not to rate shows based on my emotional response, there are so many dramas that I found boring, but rated high and visa versa, because I understand it is my taste only. Talking of Born Again in particular, if I rated it based on how much I enjoyed it I'd have given it a 10, but I gave it an 8 in the end ;-) The acting was mostly great and both of the MLs characters were well written and 3 dimensional, the ost was lovely, the show was quite original and engaging. Interestingly, even among people who hated it there was a large chunk that couldn't stop watching. Yes the script was a bit messy and there were a few things I could complain about, but I have seen worse written shows rated higher. I must add though that I rate dramas based on what's good about a show, rather than the opposite. So I don't knock down points, I build them up based on all the things that were done right.

Well everybody has different taste I get that, plus some people hate love triangles. I just don't think it deserves such a low rating, this story is so unique. I suspect that some people rate it based on their emotional response to the love triangle rather than the actual quality of the show.

WTH is wrong with the rating? It seriously deserves better than that. This isn't a masterpiece, but it's real unusual (is that where part of the problem lies?) and enjoyable if you go with the flow and enjoy the drama for what it is, a piece of entertainment.

Thank you so much for the links and recommendations. I rarely notice oldies or movies. You description of Age of Innocence for whatever reason makes me think of What Happened in Bali, I should really add it to this list.

It depends on who you ask. Most SH's supporters think JB died, most JB supporters think he is alive. I'm going with him being alive(guess who I have supported ;-)), especially since JSY confirmed it.
