The sword technically has a soul in it, it will choose who it allows to use it. The sword originally belongs to He Simu hence she initially was trying to get close to DX because she wants to take back her sword but also realise that the sword chooses to accept DX, so she didn’t pursue it further.

Can’t compare with PoJ, it’s a different genre. It’s not emphasis on creating just beautiful scenes but focus much on the story progression. The CGI is also watchable. The storytelling is following closely to the original novel, so viewers may find the beginning seems a little slow pace, but personally I find it well pace..perhaps some small editing issues. Many comments on Dilraba’s acting for first few ep., if you watch on, you will understand that she purposely acted this way because she is a Ghost Queen who has no 5 senses and doesn’t know human emotions, so it’s dilebrate act.
