The villian here is very similar to the ‘Fox Spirit Matchmaker” series, where it can’t be completely eliminated because it’s a demon that feed on despair, hatred and sufferings. However GJM fuses this concept with the popular Nine-headed snake mythology (monster that brings destruction, plague and flood) then adding another element where it was the cause of meteor (alien)…which technically cannot be destroy as one can’t get rid of sufferings…it’s a mix and match borrowed ideas from various sources…😅

For a novel adaptation, this one has tried its best to stick to the key happenings and themes written in the novel, they have omitted some plot points and simplified it for the limitation of ep. And I appreciate that they gave OE and additional HE at the ending. There is also adequate kiss, hug and confessing their love. I like their chemistry, although this can be subjective impression. He did, that’s why the first ending was his soul climbing the cold mountain and coming back as a floating soul(jellyfish) beside HSM. If his obsession is strong for HSM, he will eventually become a spirit like CY.
