Nope…there is another Zhou Chen who is always around her in her timeline without her realizing it.They were…
No problem. It’s a very nicely written script. If you noticed in the beginning ep., FL did try to search for her modern parents in the 80s timeline, and she couldn’t find them as they don’t exist in the 80s timeline, so she knows it a separate timeline. It’s also witty how this script ended it with a dream, so hence people in her dream could be all fictional, except we know a guy name Zhou Chen existed. Perhaps he has always been her crush in modern timeline but she wasn’t aware.
The biggest difference between cdrama and kdrama (aside from the obvious cultural heritage) is that Chinese dramas…
Adding on to Antiherosdiaries’s point on the production team/directors in making idol drama…, hence idol dramas’ script tends to focus on making the idols shine and compensate on storytelling as mentioned. This one is still faithful to the original novel, so even though both leads are consider idols, I am glad the script writing has yet being compensated.
I felt they kind of hinted ML was there helping her and liking her since childhood. They never shared who the…
I strongly feel that too. Since beginning the set up, hinting to the viewers that Zhou Chen also exist in XiaoLan’s modern time line, it’s just that she wasn’t aware or too afraid to hold on to it. For this story, I wish to think that too, the modern Zhou Chen has always been around, and if it’s a dream of the 80s, XiaoLan would have dream of her ideal family, her dream job and the boy she likes close to her too😍.

The last 5ep feels like watching a k drama, even the ultimate villian Xia Ziyu feels pathetic, and the multiple recording…so funny. Sure out to get her.
I get it, one of the key theme of this drama is that the outcome is not the most important aspect, the process is. This is a feel good drama, although the person who has the biggest gain is FL, I kind of feel bad for the family and ML in the 80s timeline😓. This ambiguity ending feels like a convenient wrap up without needing to explain how it is and why it is. Overall it’s a great story, totally enjoyed the slice of life in the 80s! Love the 80s Cantonese songs.
Yup the main actors have multiple roles, as its original script, wondering whether it will involve past present…
yup, JiLing has always been the Dragon, he put a piece of his power into the puppet so hence the puppet has Dragon Ji Ling’s face, and sent him on mission to find Xiao Wei.

Spoiler continue….If you watched to ep 5, you will realise ‘XiaoWei’ has turned herself into a male aka Liu Wei Xue so as to protect his reincarnated debtor, who is a female. That’s the misleading twist that the story was trying to lead you. Technically gender to fox tribe are loosely associated.
Ep 13, DX’s dialogue with Chen Ying shows how self aware that his crush for He SiMu is one sided at this point in time. Our foxy general is on a mission to make all powerful 400 years old, Ghost Queen fall for him;).
Let’s enjoy his beautiful vocal😍😍😍
They were never on the same timeline.

Whisper of Fate is another complicated storyline😅😅😅
