Really like Wu ShiGuang and Wu Wang Yan’s love story, so sweet and sad, hope they do have a good ending.

So we were right, Chi Wan and his brothers have to sacrifice in order to create the tenth dragon, Wu ShiGuang.
So all this while JiLing is a stand in for Chi Wan perhaps to prevent chaos and to trick Jiu Ying…finally more clarity, I think.lol!

Yup this story is written that way, and she being the Ghost Queen, she has the power to help someone liberate by taking their Obession, but I don’t think she absorbs their power, it’s more that she has to use her power to help them liberate their souls.

About ML, if he dies holding the Obession of revenge, and yes he may end up in spiritual realm. But ML’s character here is not obsessed with revenge, he wants to unite the kingdom, that’s his goals, not sure how much he is obsessed with it.
And your point about him being obsessed with FL and dies with that, yup, that’s the hypotheses that he may become a spirit and be with her.

Yes mortal dies and will become spirits (the floating squid), some get liberated or disappear to be part of the world. The concept of reincarnation was not explored or mentioned here, so we don’t know that. But some spirits can hold on to their Obession, hence they live in spiritual realm, living a continuous cycle of their Obession till they learnt to let go and be liberated.
I don’t think it’s an inner demon concept or I don’t really understand what you mean by inner demon, instead it’s more of unfinished business concept when they are living. An example like Jiang Ai, her Obession with greed, she ended up holding a job as the finance/account spirit for He Si Mu.

You will be able to follow. They do the flashbacks pretty well to show their past relationship.

Yes, the previous season was 7yrs ago, time to let that go as so much has changed. And I read from some article that this drama is adaptation is closer to the novel and will complete the whole novel story, which is something I look forward to see🤩.

Hi Ash! I am enjoying the first 5 ep., The fights scenes, flash backs and pacing is so far so good. I wouldn’t compare it with the previous season, watching it with fresh eyes, it’s enjoyable;)
There are quite a lot of unhappy viewers and haters, with unrealistic expectation about this drama and also judgmental and biases.
I recommend that you try the first 5ep., let me know how you think about it😉.
