Yup, I understand the script wants to give the CP misunderstanding trope. But making ShengYi’s brother be the petty guy just lazy writing. lol! And like you pointed out, they are adults, can’t they just talked about it.😅

The supper BBQ atmosphere has become tensed. I thought just two ep ago, on the boat, JCY has clarify that he has nothing with XueXi, and here we have MuDan pushing him away and assuming he will marry XueXi. WHY writers???!!! But I do love the acting at that scene, yoy can feel both are hurting inside and just not confronting each other.

I thought a few ep ago, Shen ZaiYe had asked his spies to find out everything about Jiang Tao Hua’s background and till now, he knew nothings about her and had to hear from the prisoners🤦🏻‍♀️. This plot, I don’t know…although LXY’s acting is good here, I don’t think I can endure further. Will come back again.

So now we are having the mutiple confuse love triangles and misunderstanding with SML and SFL. I am still confused of what is FL doing. The past two ep feels like filler ep.
