Itās a long rant, š š š . I wrote a review posted. K drama script is overall still too formulated that I am no longer excited about the plot, so till next time, when I do pick up another again.
I am very very selective of k drama but decided to binge this for the leads, my verdict, purely a personal opinion: Rom-Com: šÆ structured as a sweet Rom-Com, so donāt expect depth. Theme: interesting concept, however I would have expect it to have more depth, but itās not explored, the AI boyfriend concept feels wasted. I like the school arc. Angst/ growth in character: of course NO, this is a Rom-Com with typical trope of pride and prejudice, misunderstanding and miscommunication. Then we have the ideal ML that who has his heart and eyes only devoted to FL. Which made me feel that the real world also not that realistic, but well itās a Rom-Com. I didnāt feel a growth arc. Acting: both leads acted well, I donāt understand why comments here are so harsh on Jisoo. But of course I like her better in her role in Snowdrop. CP chemistry: I feel this could be done better, perhaps because there were so many famous cameos ML, that I am distracted. So the main CPās chemistry feels driven by plot and too superficial. Other relationships: I like the lady author, her ending feels sad for me. Interesing for me to see the relationship between editor and author. I like FLās girlfriend, feels that she has the most growth. Final thought: AI relationship replacing human relationship, is not healthy. If we choose to live in an ideal imagination, whether itās a life or relationship, then how would we learn from our mistakes and grow from them? How do we know tolerance and compromise to acceptance in building a long lasting relationship? Overall this is a fun watch to past time.
I'm curious if they will ever show the FL becoming curious/suspicious about her husband's story of his background.…
We are not shown FLās perspectives. But I am sure she has doubts, however she also grew up in country side, hence quite trusting and she just accepts whatever ML says to her. Hence when later on it was revealed his identity, it wasnāt really a shock for her.
Im still confused. I know theyre married, they did the wedding rites and all, but why do they kept saying. "Fake…
FL needed a husband to claim her house deed. So when she suddenly found a husband, everyone around suspected itās fake. ML also did not use his real name, so still fake.š¤·š»āāļø When you said āthey kept sayingā¦ā who is they?
I find myself strongly agreeing with your rant, particularly regarding the imbalance in the relationships portrayed…
Nice comparison and connection in the characterization. I do agreed. I love Wuthering Heights. Such a classic tragic story in. way. The recent remade by Hollywood kind of lost its essence to the original theme, didnāt quite enjoy itš.
ML is a total green flag but everyone labels him as red flagā¦so why donāt our witty FL just manipulate him to do according to her wantsā¦hahahah. Just re-writing my own script.
FCY is smitten and mesmerized by YZā¦but who wouldnāt ššš. Yeah now we have two ep a day, which is good, and the pacing of the story is smooth so far, hope this keeps it this way;).
Ep. 31: It's a good episode, thank god for all the cool ML FL scenes together - the spark is still there - especially…
I thought he is still poison, itās only been suppressed temporary hence he is looking for cure by learning the ZiWei skills, and I thought all these were mentioned earlier to FL and she knewš¤·š»āāļø. I felt the same on why was she so hostile? She confessed previous ep., then yes she left him to get punished and one year later, she behaves this way, I donāt understand her characterization anymore. lol. Think the next few ep will be ML again destructive mode but this time to rescue her. He is a extremely resilience, one moment almost dying, next moment recovered fully.
