However she also knew that the 6 sects are unable to see past ML as Mu family, so even he tries to make peace with them, they will never accept him. Wondering how this whole thing can be resolved. My guess is that the black mask guy has to be from the righteous sect, then ML can have a redemption arc.

In the novel, it’s so. Not sure whether the script will change that. But their romance is quite a tragic.

I have said this before and will repeat this comment. This director and his camera angle sure made both ZLH and TXW look very good in their costume and styling here.

This is Jianghu couple’s fight: ML loves FL, so he wants to unite the six sects but uses unscrupulous method as that’s the only way he knew how and effective. FL loves ML but dislike and does not approved his method, so she left him. This fight can only ends when both willing to compromise…so we are seeing ML learning and starts behaving better towards one of his betrayed staff. But what lesson does FL learns? If she goes around with her higher moral standard and does things in her way, what makes her way the right way too?
Hahahha…I just have to rant on this double standard characterization.🤷🏻‍♀️

Both Zhou YiRan and Bao ShengEn are very new actors, so went into this without much expectation, but was surprise that they both are doing well with their roles. I have more issues with the editing and how some scenes are pace is not the easiest to watch. However I also like at least they tried to bring back some nostalgia from old WuXia drama with proper fight stunts.
If you do pick this up, I am keen to hear how you feel too;).

It’s not very common where c drama story has one where the villian is the ML. Most plot will give redemption arc or white wash the villian very quickly. But what I like about this story so far is that, there is no white washing or need for redemption arc. Till this far ML is true to his villian character, scheming, manipulative and revengeful, his method is destructive and extreme but as you watch, one will understand that his behaviour was driven by environmental circumstances. And ultimately the righteous sects are not exactly righteous. Ultimately his aim was still to eventually unite all the sects and removed the labels of good vs bad.
So if this director execute the characters’ arc well with the actors’ able to portray it well, then it’s really a great watch.

He is a loyal friend to ML and probably is the third CP.

I also sus about him, and find him more likely to be the man in black instead of the teacher.

Well we have seen quite a couple of FL being coroner which is also a taboo profession; butcher isn’t that bad. I only wonder how she has such strength being so small build. The director here set it up well, and TXW also plays her role well, so very believable. So now I want to see how she plays being a General in future.

I suspect that too…or just one the Aunty’s crush turn revenge as his love is unrequited. Yes, we will know today. Saw in the preview that CZ will rescue MQY and punished later where they will be separated for one year.😓

The 6sects just want a convenient reason to kill Mu Clan because ML’s uncle snatch their love interest (FL’s Aunty).
