Title Rebirth
Is this a prequel to Princess Agents?
It’s a sequel. It will pick up from the cliff hanger ending after season 1 where FL fell into the frozen lake.

Oh, that series has part 1 and 2, love his villian SML role in part 2 where he was obsessed with FL. That’s the first time I watched him in grey roles;).

He says ‘Life is Short . I want to live it my way’ . That has been his motto. He does not care about the ending…
Yup, for the longest time, since young, he has always been on survivor mode, then when he realizes the suffering of war, he wants to fight to unite. And now he found love, he wants to hold on to it and protect, as he says, he will not let go even if He Simu pushes him away, he will cling on😍🤩.

DX is only child like in front of He Simu. As another commenter mentioned, smiling is his coping mechanism.

Yup, that’s my speculation and guess too as many hints dropped that this guy exist in her modern timeline but we didn’t get to see his face. Modern XiaoLan is too pre-occupied with her struggles to notice him, but he is alway around.😍

No problem. It’s a very nicely written script. If you noticed in the beginning ep., FL did try to search for her modern parents in the 80s timeline, and she couldn’t find them as they don’t exist in the 80s timeline, so she knows it a separate timeline. It’s also witty how this script ended it with a dream, so hence people in her dream could be all fictional, except we know a guy name Zhou Chen existed. Perhaps he has always been her crush in modern timeline but she wasn’t aware.

The biggest difference between cdrama and kdrama (aside from the obvious cultural heritage) is that Chinese dramas…
Adding on to Antiherosdiaries’s point on the production team/directors in making idol drama…, hence idol dramas’ script tends to focus on making the idols shine and compensate on storytelling as mentioned. This one is still faithful to the original novel, so even though both leads are consider idols, I am glad the script writing has yet being compensated.
