I don’t like it in the drama, on how they make JiangLi’s betrayal because of an unrequited love. DX went into the prison void by accident and not exactly tricked by JiangLi. The script makes YanKe so jealous, he is suppose to be powerful but also won’t be so lovebrain…these changes make the villian mediocre and comedic.
Going to spiritual world was partly He Si Mu’s idea, as it’s her gift to DuanXu and not because DuanXu pestered to tag along…thought this intention is also lost. He SiMu doesn’t mind Duan Xu and is also developing fondness in having him around. But I understand why the script is written this way, so to let the viewers see a more dramatic change in HSM’s feelings towards DX, but I still prefer the novel version.

This is an unpopular opinion because of my impression reading the novel…

In a way, but Yan Ke is also obsessed with power, so he doesn’t truly love HSM.

I don’t think she truly loves till she met Dian Xu.

Hence Duan Xu is special.

It will pick up from where Princess Agents ended, with a cliff hanging ending.

Not really so, he will recover when he goes back to mortal world. But every exchange of senses, it does affect both ML and FL mildly.

There is no amnesia arc or growing old arc, but DX does become very weak as a mortal staying too long in ghost realm.
I feel the added arc is for viewers to see that He SiMu actually cares a lot for DX despite her cold and detached exterior.

If you have been following c drama, you will understand that for transmigration storyline, dream ending is common explanation in order to pass censorship. Many feels it is not happy ending because of such ending, however IMO, as long the story is told well and there is a growth arc and purpose for this story and characters, it’s worth the watch. And this story definitely is inspirational and I feel the ending is appropriate and well set up. If you like slice of life, inspirational growth story line, this is highly recommended.

Watch on, you will feel less angry;).

In the first series, FL played by ZLY is suppose to be young age, age 19 or younger I think. For this casting, the team just decided to choose an actress with the age.

It’s a sequel. It will pick up from the cliff hanger ending after season 1 where FL fell into the frozen lake.

Oh, that series has part 1 and 2, love his villian SML role in part 2 where he was obsessed with FL. That’s the first time I watched him in grey roles;).
