I feel the first relic never leaves him, but the skin tag could be his minions…and somehow he is leading the leads to search for other relics…getting interesting.

I think somehow the first relic possesses him and made him the main vessel to control others. Just my guess.

I feel the mystery part has to do with the director’s experience in pacing and capturing the scenes plus proper editing, or it could be because of censorship that those scenes were removed making it hard to follow.
