I don’t think there will be between ZCXiu and Ka Dan, but it will be challenging for ZC Xiu to return home. If you have an opportunity, do watch season 1, it’s good.

Both Marquis and Cao are very good actors. They portrayed their roles so well.

The first two ep has very little of her screentime, so we shall see. lol!

So the last 14 ep will be dedicated to the third killer. The plot killing the first two killers led to a lot of sacrifices, those soldiers and generals are all good war heros. As ZH said, would there be a better way around it?

It may help to keep this inner voice that, “he is the ML, so he won’t die until he gets his rightful revenge”.🤣

BiZhi’s character symbolizes an all muscle, single track, simple minded and no major ambition. Since he was a slave, he was always reminded of his place and never learn how to fight for his needs. Then he met DaQiao, he found a reason to fight for. You see his journey is always, to please DaQiao and do what she wishes. After she was captured, his primary goal again was to do what he can to keep her safe, so he will kill and do what he can to keep her alive. Da Qiao’s last words to him was to live his life. So he lives on as she asked him to. So his sole purpose is to stay alive for himself.
Saying so, I preferred BiZhi’s character in the novel, here they really done a deservice to this character.

Yup, that seems to be the intention of the director, making the audience feels annoyed. It has been the repeated tactics used here. I still wonder whether Zhao Bing Wen is the masked man.

It does make good sense for their relationship to have his son being the one who kill him.
