Adding to others who have commented, I also like drama FL’s character, so much more assertive, witty and smart. But also the ML here is less brutal and kinder.

He is not the ultimate villian, he is just misguided and very affected when he discovered the truth to his biological background. But according to novel, he and WS will make up after his scheme was stop and uncover.

In the novel, they will cross paths and due to misunderstanding BiZhi and WS will fight, but no major injury, and stopped by Wei Qu. WS will be mildly injured and FL will nurse his wound. Maybe that will be the scene for them to build closeness.

I really love Song ZuEr’s acting. She is really good at subtle expression and she portrays this role very well, very believable. I just hope the plot is consistence throughout, and I feel they will downplay the political plots here.

I see you are back catching up with the drama. I agreed on this point. Thought WS send Wei Qu as he is the more aware and witty one among the general, however that plot was too convenient. And they explained it by saying Wei soldiers just become dumb after meeting Qiao.🤦🏻‍♀️

Oh when she was able to show her demon powers, I always thought it was originated from JX when he first save her and not her true form. So her demon king status was because she was first resurrected by him. I may be wrong. Let’s see how this wrapped up.

So far what we gathered is JinXiu is a child from another woman, not sure whether the current father is his biological father, not been revealed. But we know this Heavenly Father kept saying he is acting based on written fate that JX has to be the ultimate heavenly king. Then we know that JX has some dark powers and his father has been suppressing it and lying to JX that it was practice backlash, but actually inflicted by his father to suppress JX’s dark power.
I suspect JX is the reincarnated demon lord of the green snake, but who knows. And while earlier when he tried to revive HG, he has transferred some of his dark powers to HG hence she retained his powers in her.
The heavenly mother is upset heavenly king brought back another woman’s child and claim to be the rightful heir which of course she feels her son should be instead.
But I wonder how they will wrap this up in last 6ep🤷🏻‍♀️.

As other novels have given some points. They did patch up. WS will never truly hate WY as they were actually very close when young as portrayed in the drama, their relationships are very brotherly. WS did have a fight with WY for him being infactuated and rude to his wife. But after WY’s scheme was uncovered, Grandma Xu sent him away, and WS did come to send him off and wish him well.

If you watch her past shows, her acting has always been good.

It’s punishment as she tried to harm FL. But I doubt they will do it here. This ML is rather tame by far.

IMO, this is definitely more fun than Serenipity as ML and FL falls in love in the very beginning and they acknowledges it. But it’s the typical XianXia tropes of obstacles by parents, responsibility, misunderstand and obsessive SML who tends to get away from things.

And many a times he kept reminding her not to tempt him with her beauty, I felt it’s a reminder to himself to not lose himself by her beauty.🤣

ML is definitely attracted by FL’s beauty at first look. but their love will be progressive as they are enemies child, like Romeo and Juliet’s family.

Apart from this and Prisoner of Beauty, the two titles you mentioned are also on my PTW list. Although I doubt Love Ambition will be out so soon. I just done with Love in Pavilion, also anticpating the final series of Fox Spirit by ChengYi.
