Oh yeah, thanks dear I remembered this part was different from novel.

YQY’s speech on TTJ shows that he is definitely a suitable candidate to be an Emperor, despite his losses, he would still live on for his people and greater mission. Sad for him, I feel he deserves to find another love interest.

I just noticed when TTJ woke up and run out to the hall to look for YXW’s body, he was not wearing the black ‘trashbag’ material coat but then next scene we saw him running in that coat??

Then when TTJ carry the dead YXW on the white snow, with flashbacks of their dialogue, is just sad beyond description.

I still remembered when I first watched this, most of us were anticipating the pain of this scene before it even happened.😅

Now I see it because LSS loves TTJ, hence she is willing to sacrifice her essence to give TTJ so he can be given a second chance to life.

I really like the micro explression shown by TTJ in this scenes at the lighting strike, you sense his helplessness and sincerity. Well done LYX! When is your next drama coming????

Ep 28, the Ye family sacrifices from father to sons. It’s thoughtful that TTJ bothers to close the eyes of General Ye. He feels for them and his people.
TTML gone crazy, massacre of so many people.
Then I always wonder about this scene that TTML asked TTJ to choose, what’s the purpose of this act?
And our poor TTJ tried so so hard to keep her. The spinning and blood spat and finally TTJ found out about YXW’s sacrifice and his identity truth😭😭😭.

Hi, thanks for sharing your thoughts. This is indeed one of the tougher XianXia to watch with a few story lines and intertwined of characters’ arc.
XianXia tends to have such complicated arcs and angsty among the characters. I am not new in watching XianXia, but when I first watched this, I got confused but thanks to the helpful community here, I gotten more interested as ep progresses. I even read the novel to get a deeper understanding of the plot and characters. IMO, if it’s hard to watch on, do feel free to drop it, however if there is something about this story that still captivate you, press on as the journey and process had been fulfilling for a XianXia lover;) Hope you get to come back again to finish this. Cheers!

I can relate with your rant. I have similar feeling. This plot and characterisation is not working for me too. I may drop it.😓 I really wanted to like this for Wang ZiQi and Lu YuXiao, sigh.

IMO, as for period drama, his image is most suited in ‘The Imperial Coroner’.

ML never offer partly because she didn’t ask him and she also know she can’t go as human can’t survive that realm unless she is a half demon which is not the case (since they change that script here). He can’t be upholding his responsibility and protecting her from other demons all the time.
