Yeah, I did wonder too. She travels with him, then can only come back every 12 years, Thats a lot to sacrifice for her part too. I also wonder since he used to have an artifact that allows him to travel often, can’t this story wrote that he found another one of those and he can come back often to see her…😓Then they can still be together.

I am just surprise the old man from the painting remembers. XY has to do his role to protect both realm and BX also knew she can’t stop him and she knew she can’t follow him. I think some of us see that coming since beginning that demon and human can’t be together, worst of, XY’s position as the protector of the realms, he can’t let go of his responsibility. He is a silent hero. But I still felt very emotional on how this ended but I accepted it😭.
