Yup, I watched that one…Feel horrendous for all the women there.😓 But again it’s that time period and that’s how it is. Again not saying it’s right to treat women that way. I am glad we live in current society with more equality and women are capable to show their

You are right to say that this is fictional and characters are all made up. However the set up of this drama is based on Song dynasty, which in the historical time period, where it is common for such men existed and are often treated as higher authority then women, there is no gender equality. That’s the fact. Nothing normal about that, it is what it is. And we are not watching a modern drama, so whether we are able to root for the ships, as you said, it’s based on how the story will progress.

Ah had wanted to start IAN2. But as I couldn’t complete season 1, was wondering whether I should pick up 2. Since you mentioned that it’s fun, I may just start it;)

The main CP, Lu YuXiao and Wang XingYue is the only one seems to get the show going so far. I may stick to it for a while more. I think as most typical Yu Zheng’s style, he is trying to use the ‘Little Women’ and ‘Pride and Prejudice’ theme here. Seeing whether it is going to be tastefully done. Not much going on for me after TBL.😅
