As you see both the father and the male scientist are quite nassistic in their characters’ design, so with that, it’s expected that they will behave this way, which is to bully the weak and find someone to blame about the situation.

This has three arcs, so with 40ep., likely we are will have a few more ep of this arc before they move into Zhao Ming and Ah Zhu’s story.

Yup, one of the common tropes used in c drama and I also dislike it, sigh. But I do think they may also give a redemption arc here.

I didn’t read the full novel, just summaries. It the novel at this point he has no memories of his purpose, so he hasn’t turn bad yet. But later something will happen that leads him to take the villian route. But who knows how this screenplay may change some story and parts. Keen to see how they turn him;) He is really a good pal to both of them so far.

You mean the post credit scene in ep 1 right. Here what’s it is: ML choked because of that piece of Apple he bite while travelling to take off. So that scene show us, he was compassionate to buy the apple from begger girl, took a bite then remembers Eve’s words and toss it out. But he still choked from that piece of apple during the flight and was saved by Eve.

Yes! Ep 13 will be him showing his affection to MXL😍😍😍.

ah I noticed after re-watching that scene and that dialogue again, he is respectful of her and not forcing her to tell him.

I like FL’s character, strong, witty, decisive and loyal, how come she is a vine spirit, shouldn’t she be more like a bird. lol!

We get our first blood spat. ML is just amazing, tries to protect everything around him.

Wow! Ep 11 ending fight is exciting to watch. So our ML is quite a strategist, however he can’t detect MXL’s sadness. He reminds me another God of War I knew.

It is to show that rich and powerful people with grief can choose to played out their denial through blaming others and scapegoating them. ML has done nothing wrong here but he is stuck in a very bad circumstances with influential powerful people who is out to ruin him because of their own issues, his forced G/F, and her father; both are terrible people with power. We see this often in kdrama, sigh. They get away with crimes and ruined others lives.
