As you, I find this season frustrating to watch and not as enjoyable as season 1. The characters seem disjointed from their arc in season 1 and the unnecessary tropes in CP relationship🤦🏻‍♀️. The CP didn’t seem to have grow although they were married for three years, and their great chemistry in investigation work seems to be lost in this season.
At this point I have also lost interest in what they are investigating😅.

Hi Mizuhira! Outside of the drama, Chen XingXu and Wang Yu Wen are childhood friends. Similary, like Wang Yu Wen is also a childhood friend with Zhang Xin Cheng and they recently had a romance drama together;).

Hahhaha…no worry I get it. We are all feeling with the characters when we watch and our emotions get resolved when we see a growth😘. Enjoy! The last two ep are very sweet!🤍

I disagreed. CXX has good acting and his emotion expression is subtle. E.g a scene when he confronted his step brother and his mother came in..,you saw his look changed from being determine of that conversation to being hurt by his mom’s words. Then followed by his lost and helpless look when he went to the game set. That’s so much better than a lot of c idol actors I have seen.

Watch on, SML has a growth arc.

Watch on, you will realise that FL does not blame ML, it’s more of a context that his father has caused quite major changes for her life and her father, which can be hard for them to be together.

Well said! 💯 agreed that Dai Xu portrayed the complex character well. Would be excited to see him as ML. Pei Zhen’s strength is in his realization that he doesn’t need to be like his father and he can choose. His previous behaviour and action towards ML and FL was due terrible upbringing exposure but yet he has the wisdom to break out of the cycle. The ending scene is his growth and rebirth.;)

Yup, for the past 6 years, only 1 XianXia, the rest of the job he took were all modern. Something about his looks is not suitable for WuXia or XianXia 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️. I think it’s also his agency choice, trying to get him to do what he is good at and comfortable but we won’t get to see his versatile acting.😓

This role will be so easy for CXX.;). I actually would want to see him in Wu Xia drama.

Hahahah…love the comedy moments, hope the show is as good.😍

What I like about Hu Xiu’s character, she is an embodiment of all the healthy and positive traits:
1.Courageous to love, she is not afraid to share that she care and love, it’s shown in her relationship with friends, family and towards ML
2. Letting go and emotionally resilience, she is ready to kick her scumbag Ex out of her life and move on. She is even prepared to let go of her love for ML if her parents can’t accept it.
3. Loyal and person with principles and values, hence she will never accept SML’s behavior.
4. Filial piety, clearly shown in her relationship with parents.
5.Responsible and reliable towards her work role which also present in another of her traits of being hardworking.
6.Understanding and sensible, we see how she reads ML and towards her friends.
7. Set clear boundaries shows self care, she knows what her values are and what she needs and accept from others.
8.High EQ as well as smart.
9. Humble, she never boasts about her strengths.
10. Spontaneous and real, truthful to how she feels, she speaks up and speaks her mind and those are words of wisdom and not impulsiveness or reactivity.
There are few small flaws that are necessary as no character is perfect which make her cute and adorable, which are her clumsiness and at time carelessness, she can be single track mind in some circumstances. So without the blessing of meeting ML who gave her work opportunity, her journey in career can be tough. This concluded my last point that, she is too trusting in people and relationship, so it’s also fortunate that she hasn’t experienced any major life events and/or trauma which I wish she wouldn’t and continue to maintain that genuine, happy self😍.

I finished this yesterday and still feeling warm and fluffy from the drama. Going to share some thoughts about our ideal and near perfect FL character, Hu Xiu…

Ah…there are more sweetness to come😍.

It gave us two days before his new show air, to have a closure which will still be difficult to move on from this CP😅.

A complicated circumstance that pull them apart for ep24/25.

I said before and will repeat myself…it will be fantastic to see CXX in the Republican General uniform having a push-pull relationship with LYX as a reporter/spy and they are together uncovering mystery😍😍😍🤩. LYX looks so pretty in Republican era Cheongsum😍.

It was hinted that their relationship a became quite close but no mentioned of them being in a relationship.

My thoughts are that she is a very naive and simple minded character. So after her husband died, and she felt sick, she wasn’t able to grief properly, instead she blames her husband for committing suicide and leaving her to deal with the company debts. So she avoided confronting the truth and choose to deny it and marry her husband’s partner who seems to be nice and caring.
I also find it hard to reconcile her behaviour and I believe she will live with guilt for her rest of her life.
