Yeah, as most recent ep., she still treats him as a brother and wants him to get a wife, so she can have a sister-in-law. Going to be hard for me to see them as lovers.

The c drama tactics of miscommunication, they make the characters talk in circles. I understand your frustration. Probably the drama want to make the Marquis an arrogant character that will not explain himself unnecessary, so he doesn’t share to FL about his feelings, it’s probably a set up to show how he is smart enough to figure out FL’s lie later. Also a plot device to show FL is witty, telling such a lie and even put a dead female corpse there.

If it’s not Mei Lin, MuRong JingHe’s plan will go accordingly and without him being bitten by poisonous snake and having to be re-traumatized by his paralysis condition of his past. 😓

No problem. But be prepared, the novel ML is more scum bag than the drama version. Do know that in this drama, they change quite a bit on the characterization, although the essence and motivation is f story plot is the same.

The novel has a HE. But we don’t know about this drama.
