As usual, I always enjoy reading your review. Love your perspectives. So agreed that the FL’s Master was the most poorly written character here. And I totally enjoyed the Mdm RongGuo and Pei Yan’s arc. The ending can be better written, I still frown that Xiao WuXia never get to clear his father’s name. And the ghostly ending is unnecessary for me.

This drama didn’t show much about their relationship when young. It only briefly mentioned that ML remembered few encounters with FL when young and she was kinder to him. Now reconciling as adult, they portray siblings’ love and no affectionate love. As ep 8 shown ML knew FL’s background now, maybe the drama will show them falling for each other.
The drama has a lot of familiar and similar tropes.🤷🏻‍♀️

I feel that the next few ep., they will only show us ML falling for her since he knew now. But FL maybe will only happen later.
