Yup, should continue to keep with open mind and don’t compare. Ruin my own watching experience. So far the story telling is close to original, so still watchable;)

Technically Guo Jing was raised in Mongolia land and they have a culture tradition of good archers and shoot Condors, so that’s suppose to define Guo Jing’s journey to become an expert archer. But as PeachBlossom explained, that title is too overused and can be misleading.;)

The cast list above is technically not wrong, just incomplete as there are two generations of leads. The older generation and the younger generations. Huang YaoShi and some seniors are the older generations; Guo Jing and Yang Kang are the second generations. So both are equally important in this first part of the series.
