From a possible bigger case of child trafficking concerns to a smaller scale family misunderstanding, and selfish father. JMF as a villain is truly pathetic. His narrow-mindedness and selfishness has caused a chain of events - one kid missing and the other dead. The last two episodes were strongly focus on police code and loyalty to the code supersede the role of a father. So ultimately DouDou was lost, and no explanation on why Bian Jie and Xiao Qi look so alike.

On the part that why Wang ShiTu didn’t realise as he was not investigating the case of child kidnapping. And after he lost DouDou, he was frantic and didn’t realise Bian Jie and DouDou was playing together. Furthermore when he found Bian Jie, he was not wearing DouDou’s clothes anymore, he just thought it was a lost kid.
