Back in those times, money is power. I would assume the Japanese are in it for that too. It’s just surprise to me with the deteriorating China, loosing land and money to other countries, at that time period, would they still have hidden treasures somewhere else.

Thanks for this. It became clearer now. When so many information was dropped at bits and pieces, it can be rather confusing. Wouldn’t this be leading to Tonhmenghui getting the treasures so they can win this battle, I wonder?
