TTJ is just so seductive in this ep., his looks, his protectiveness towards LSS/YXW. This is one of the turning point of their relationship, as I felt TTJ see how YXW is willing to sacrifice for him, esp after he faced such tragic betrayal from previous ep. I felt comforted under the tree with LSS/YXW, he is like a little child, secured finally.❤️❤️❤️

Hmmm…if they are making a season 2 with different FL, that will indeed be a good possibility to look forward to. I noticed that he has other upcoming WuXia projects with other seasonal female actresses. We need a good script too, sometimes novel adaptation can be rather repetitive in certain themes😅.

I see you finally put up this review for this drama;) Totally spot on the problem lies with the interpretation of FL’s role by two different actresses.
It’s a wasted effort on setting up on Yang Cai Wei’s character, she can be a character with depth, but well, it is what it is. This drama also showcase Liu XueYi’s beauty and his wide range of acting style. Now I am checking on his future works.
I have the same sentiments of enjoying this mystery investigation more than Judge Dee’s story. The cases here were much better written and better pace, and the revealed of each case was still fun to watch. I applauded on the themes they explored here, especially since this script is original, I gave credits to the screen writers for putting efforts on the writing and keeping it coherent. I like what you mentioned on Season 2, if there is one, having a ‘Moriarty’ type of villain will be great fun or even an ‘Irene Adler’ type to challenge our Holmes (Pan Yue). But I don’t think there will be a season 2 right?

This Empire’s offspring are brought up to only think of their own survival and no one else. The failure of an Empire when your children constantly plotting to kill each other and take the throne. Living in fear, wonder what’s the point.😓

Oh I love her, she is a great actress. Dis you watch that series ‘Born to be a Flower’, she is great in that drama.😍 I agreed, for Netflix, I normally wait for all ep to be released then watch them, can’t stand 1 ep per week of wait.

That’s true, I have been seeing her as supporting casts of all the recent dramas, and all her roles so far were pretty interesting.

ShaoYao is such a challenging role, I am now quite eager to see her future drama as FL.
