If you follow the story, QingYe is also an Ancient God then he falls in love and uses his power to rescue his beloved and was punished by natural law where he has to live as mortal in his repeated cycle of ‘missing’ his beloved. XingZhi could use his power to open a primordial essence of QingYe’s soul which only lasted a short while, but that was adequate for the mortal QingYe to make a wise choice for his love life and eventually breaking the cycle of punishment. End of his arc.

Hahahha, exactly…hence I love to watch Lin GengXin’s expression, he shown the character well. There is this ambiguity about his own fate and role, as if he also didn’t want it but no choice😅.

Overall it’s a good watch IMO, there are some convenient writing and small plot-holes here and there but not major hence neglectable, so far the story and their CP’s romance are coherent.

Or he may not and his energy will dissipate to universe.

The premise of the Ancient God being punished and their fate will be explained in the most recent ep. Once they are being punished, they will live through it repeatedly until they got it then they will die and dissipate, they can’t be reborn as Ancient God again, that’s why XZ is the last one standing.

Living too comfortable a life🤣 So need 1000 years to grow wisdom🤣.

Voicing my thoughts, I saw a couple of comments saying this is boring. That’s quite surprising! So far to me every ep., there were little clues that were dropped about XZ, SL and setting up the plot. Maybe this drama is not the usual fast pace, however there is so much fun in every ep. and the moments for scene were so nicely done. For those who read the novel, will know that there is still a lot that has yet been revealed and there will be fights, angst, hence this is a 39 ep drama, so I don’t really need it to be quick but hope they keep to this pace and cover all the essence from the original story.

Really love that scene between ShenLi and XingZhi, he told her he can’t afford to love her, no misunderstanding, his pure honesty to her, asking her to help him restrain himself 😍. But fate brings them together. Come to think about it XZ the Ancient God is like the Sun to the whole solar system, if he dies, everything collapse.
