Jing Yan’s story is very important arc, it tells you what can happen if an Ancient God use power to rescue his love mortal and how he can be punished by Natural Law. This is also why XingZhi is very cautious about letting himself fall in love. The recent ep., ShenLi also have an opportunity to find out what happen if an Ancient God falls in love.

What you said make sense. His punishment in mortal world is a sad sufferer despite whatever he chooses, he cannot be happy as he will always suffer the consequences of ‘missing’. But this time he chooses his wife correctly.

Yes, his punishment is he will always miss her. But how he make the choice without harming them both requires wisdom shown from the most recent ep. If you noticed, in past he will always bring harm to his beloved wife’s soul when mismanage.

Totally, it feels like his story can spin off a short drama in its own! I like the male actor. His karmic cycle of punishment at least end with this life choosing his beloved and let go of the other girl and hence she can live. What a terrible punishment by Nature Law, like XingZhi said, it’s not really a major mistakes, just a small one😓.

Ah, I see. If she does dies, that will be tragedy for ZLJ. I hope not. Let’s see how this screenplay goes since it’s original, maybe surprise.
