I see what you mean. I also understand about how storyline and actors have to fit, for me, both stories and actors that kept me going. This drama was an okay, although couple of plot holes, not a wow, definitely lots to pick on if we carry our brains when watching this. lol. But apart from liking LXY’s acting and his dramas, this plot has mystery, which is also a genre I followed, so if the investigation is somewhat logical and plot still capture me, I am still watching. This drama is based on original writings and it’s interesting that the team pull together some popular elements and tried to spin a story here. But so far it has not blown me away but sustaining some attention to keep going. Hope to see you around;)

But I do agreed with you that before the face swap/body swap, Yang Cai Wei’s character is more sassy and cold headed, after the swap, she actually slightly different and act cute more🤣. That’s the inconsistency in acting represented by two actress. I do like the original actress as YCW. But this story is about identity swap. Which ep are you?
After so long, it’s really nice to see Lin GengXin and Zhao LiYing pairing up together again. Their chemistry is still very good and natural. Love the first 4ep. although we see more of the chicken and the man for at least 2ep;)!

For me, the winner of best blood splitting scenes goes to the wedding scene. It added the spicyness of that scene when I saw their BTS. Thought it was comical and seriousness at the same time. I had a feeling that the writers here have pull together all the different elements that had worked in mini dramas and try putting it all together for a full length coherent story. Some fight scenes are quite well done, and are beautiful. I am still mesmerizing the boat scene. Dayl background and both leads in white staring at each other. Yup, so far it’s still entertaining.;)

Agreed with you on all your observations on ML’s character and her friends. That’s probably what I am ignoring and not surprise, with low expectation…and watching for LXY…hahahha. When I watched those scenes, I have the same thoughts, how could that be. But decided to put my brain away and admire the beauty of our two MLs. lol! Convenient writing indeed.;)

I was wondering will there be royalty as the bad guy involved in this plot. I am sure he will grieve but quickly get over it, as he is now really falling in love with the real YCW and not just a childhood contract to marry her. I am also wondering who the wheelchair guy, definitely have to do with the secret that YCW’s father discovered. Yeah, I wonder will there be another twist on the Jiang’s background. I think at this point because he wants to help FL, he is willing to be ML’s ally. But all could be suspicious. I like original plot, get us guessing, just only hope it’s smart writing and not convenient writing.🤣
