My take is that the real YCW doesn’t really know PY well too, she hasn’t fully trusted him although when she agreed to marry him in the first place. Then when things happened, she was even more suspicious of him. But little by little as she gets to know him. she also realised he is bound by Emperor order to marry the Princess, so she chooses to let go. I think the geninuine feelings are only and slowly developing when she realised she wronged him. However I also felt the original YCW always felt inferior in looks and status, so she wouldn’t want to impose on him. Hence she continues to just focus on investigating her case. This is typical troupe, now viewers will be wondering when ML begin to suspect again and confront her. Which I suspect with so many ep. more to go, it will be much later.😅

Saw a lot of viewers couldn’t accept with ML’s intelligent and wisdom, why didn’t he guess the second SGZ as different person. Here are my thoughts: 1. PY only knew YCW when she was little, they were separated for so long. And so much could have change for YCW over the years. The two friends knew YCW as adults, so easily they can recognize with her hint. So as long she chooses to hide from PY, I don’t think he can tell. 2. PY did suspect SGZ but brushes it off quickly as partly he is also grieving for YCW and thought he overthink. And PY never really bother to notice previous SGZ, so he truly never knew how she is like. 3. And furthermore, given how infatuated and obsessive SGZ’s love for him in the past. It wasn’t that unusual for him to believe that she will try all her means to be closed to him, like learning coroner skills and change to be better. But like he said on the boat, he also starting to realise the other side of her that he never see before. But the fact he didn’t realise is that, he is seeing YCW’s character that he like and not SGZ. So now the only person can reveal her identity is FL.

Have to point this out, at ep 8 after both ML and FL left the Life and Death House, they were on the boat, ML’s sitting posture was totally seductive. How would she not fall for this man.lol!

This was quite hard for me to choose, there were so many. But I am going to choose the last scene after TTJ died and LSS was back at Jing Country Tomb, where she saw the Tombstone, after all the flashbacks, LSS said “TanTaiJing, you lied to me again..” To me that line was significant as it’s explained how TTJ has protected LSS/YXW and how he choose to sacrifice quietly for his love and greater good.
Never thought Bai Cai is annoying. She is just protective of AhGou.
Wahahah… I actually like Bai Cai’s character, a strong FL who has her own wisdom and survival instinct, she will protect AhGou in her own ways and stand up for him. I like their relationship, May not feel very romantic but definitely like family.
