Read your review and was inspired, so just binged watched all 25ep. As you mentioned, I was also pleasantly surprise by how good this is and completed binged watch in 2 hours. would have wish this is a full length drama. The actors were all well cast and can act, they also fit their roles, surprised that how this drama tried to fit in different themes and able to make it coherent. Definitely a great watch!

Pleasantly surprised, a nice mini school Rom-com drama with time travel element. When compiled it’s a total of 2hours for 25ep. Story is coherent, pacing is good. In every 4mins, it manages to tell the gist of the story and allowed audience to follow through its main theme. There are friendships, SML, domestic violent and FL clarifying misunderstanding of her past. It doesn’t try to be too complicated on the time travel plot. If this has been a proper drama, it would be able to give more depth for each characters’ development. Although the characters design seem familiar and seen it in other drama. The way this is filmed and the cute gentle chemistry between the leads, made me wish that this is a full length drama.

To me she is not very pretty and acting also so so, but I kind of like the two together, or maybe I like Si YiLin, felt he deserves a good ending.

He likes to make ‘men’ look beautiful🤣🤣🤣. I am okay with Yin-Yang Master, but preferred the original Japanese version.

Totally agreed!! This is his obsessive peak. Keeping her corpse and dolling her up for marriage, creepy. Thinking about it, always felt XiXi did such a great job as a beautiful sad psycho.🤣😅

CDL is somehow saw her in a couple of dramas lately, “Parallel world”, “MLCB”, My Journey to You”, “Detective Dee”…and a movie that flopped, the remade of “The journey of flower”. I see her everywhere 😱😱😱.
Edward Guo got quite ‘popular’ with a re make adaptation “the Yin-Yang Master”, being reported on plaragrism, then his recent drama “My Journey to You” also gain good reviews for his art direction, and good camera works to produce beautiful scenes.

This is just to stir publicity. I don’t follow her, so no like or dislike. She has terrible fans to draw people’s attention in this way, there is a saying bad press is also publicity…🤣 I am not sure her acting has improved but saw her in a few release drama lately. I was wondering why is she everywhere!!!😅

She is a terrible character in TTEOTM. But as an actress, I personally feel she has potential…wahahah.

I think this news made it on international platform because Guo JingMing is more popular internationally. This is on the reflection of Director’s Guo strictness and expectation on his actors. Chen Xiao has been around but she is not an actress that has been given much resources or attention. That’s my take.
Side note: it’s actually great that Chen DuLing has been given more attention, she has potential to grow big and far in this industry.

The list you shared, I watched all of it except ‘the disguise’. I assumed that you are more of a WuXia fan and good ending. So I am letting you know that this drama is full with angst and very little sweetness. However most of us love it because it’s a hell of a rollercoaster ride following the characters. The story is captivating because it’s not one dimensional. I say the chemistry is good but some may differ, it’s not the lovey dovey kind but more subtle. You can start with first 5 ep., if you feel invested, you will watch on.;) Hope you ga e it a try and enjoy it.
