👋🏻 Hi! I am glad I am not alone with those thoughts;). Think I mentioned it in earlier comments that this is the director’s first XianXia and he is also the scriptwriter. He is known for “Knockout”, a major hit, so still hopeful. Let’s watch on and see how;).

I agreed that it’s good…but I guessed I am a little burnt out from typical XianXia tropes which this drama has a lot for the first 5 ep., I will have to watch more ep to figure out whether I will enjoy this😅.
TSY is a good actress, she portrayed the character well. I like Wang Dou and Neo Hou too. But I have issues with this FL’s characterization, very typical, overuse female character archetype, not very smart, arrogant, impulsive and kept getting into trouble where ML has to rescue her. Then we have another possible trope of love triangle…I probably have to watch on to see whether I will truly enjoy this drama.😓
Like to comment on the dialogue narrated by SWL as LYS during his confession and also after he being apologetic of his abruptness of his behaviour was well paced, gentle, yearning and yet not pushy or clingy. Love his voice😍. The emotions, confusing expression, unsure of how to response, was also well portayed by ZJM as NXG. The chemistry is building up well. Although, I would say a more experienced director who are familiar with romantic scenes, would make these scenes even more dreamy and captivating, e.g “L&P”’s director would do very well in capturing such romantic moments. But IMO, the CP here is still lovely to watch.

Same 💯 disappointment for me. Such an anticipated drama, as you said, I thought it will be like a Mulan type of female general, but alas, it’s a cutesy and love brain girl🤦🏻♀️.

Love the actor acting as the cat, he captured the mannerism quite well;).
