I agreed. The first 4 ep could have focus on present time and those school period crush could be done as a flashback memories. The director is trying to follow the novel sequence as novel readers shared. But to me its show the inexperience of the director doing a romance drama, as I comment earlier, this director is not known for this genre. I am still watching to see how it’s like when the actual leads get together.

As mentioned below that it’s the director’s original work and his first XianXia. He wrote and direct well for ‘The Knockout’ which is a major success. Just not sure how he will do fantasy/XianXia…we shall have to watch to figure out. There is already a leak mentioned that it’s an open ending, what does that even mean. lol!

As a music lover, I would say this show is like soft rock and The Vendetta of An is metallic rock. I didn’t pick up Silent Tides yet😅. Love how every cases have a mini closure and the writing is pretty creative.

Yup, he is not very likable. Just me wondering, I see some of this youth dramas, they always show guys picking on girls they like, as that’s their immature way of seeking attention😅. But his insecure, inferiority complex just really doesn’t make them suitable for each other.

I agreed with this 💯. Song ZuEr’s drama are pretty decent in 2025, but yet not much hype. The Prisoner of Beauty and Demon Hunter with RenJiaLun, both deserve more viewers.

That’s my only concern with this drama. I can trust Gu Man’s screen play for writing a relatively good romance story, but not with this director. He is not known for romance drama, actually this is his first experience on romance, so I wonder how he will develop the scenes, atmosphere and camera angle which are all so important in romance drama😓. i honestly not feeling it yet even for the FL and SML…hmmmm.

I agreed with this observation. The SML is quite pitiful in a way. And I believe his character is as such with very poor communication skills hence he was also attracted to FL. But well he won’t make it as we know who is the ML here😅.
