Yes he did say that after he beat him in snooker, even when he was quite drunk.
You are right on that point. What I do know is that since most recent years, snooker has gain growing interest in China, when with current results, they are proud as in history, this game was not one of their strong sports in competition. Well, the First ranking snooker competition was held in China, the ‘2019 World Open’.
I wonder what does Empress Wu Ze Toam means by sending him to that town and preparing him to serve her in future. So does that mean that the town has some cases or situation that will link to the group that is against her? I wonder.
is it just me or does anyone else also feel like they’d appreciate it a bit more if LYY talked to YG before…
I agreed with you on this point. The first few times, it’s sweet; when it’s done so often by ML, it can easily crosses the line of overdoing, and become too over bearing for me in real life. But the FL’s character seems to enjoy being pampered, so I guess it works out for her, however I wonder will he reach to a point and crosses the line, which will cause conflict. let’s see.
Wang Li Kun is up for the next story. I actually feel that she could make a good Wu Ze Tian, but then she is in a different role here and seems to be in another major role connected to Di Ren Jie.
MEGUMIIIiiiiiiii! It's been a while. Hope all is well with you. Wishing you a joyous and prosperous Spring Festival!…
Hi Chun Tian dearest!!! Yes, been a while.;) But always around. Thank you for your well wishes! May you and family have a great and peaceful festive season too!🫶🏻💕❤️
Ep 4 plot twist was well-set up, it’s two man’s hate on woman in power.
Yes exactly, both driven by their personal principles of what a dynasty should be and not for the people. I read you comments on Wu Zhe Tian, thanks for sharing that. In past dramas, they always like to portray her cruelty and power hunger part, as that can stir emotions, more dramatic for viewers. Here it’s focus on her intention for greater good, a smart, scheming and vicious woman and driven by unselfish intention.
Hmmm…I wonder which one, seems to be also the one I am thinking of? Agreed that the right cast for FL is important, her clumsiness and naive because she has been protected by family but doesn’t have to be ‘baby’, ZJM is natural for this role. Thought she nailed this character well. ZJM also reminds me of Tan Song Yun at some camera angle, there is resemblance.
hahaha…can re-watch those swoon scenes in slow mode and time passes🤩. This director is good at capturing atmospheric moments, especially the closed up on Lei Lei’s eyes when he does the intense stare and soften when he looks at FL. I feel that the moment will be lost if camera angle is done poorly. There is also a very natural chemistry between them, probably because they are both very seasonal actors.
Completed first 4 ep., as we knew the Judge Dee’s stories are about upholding justice, debunking superstitious myths that were created to frame and over- throne Empress Wu ZheTian, it’s definitely enjoyable to see the political conspiracy and tension between power. Zhou YiWei is by far the best cast for Judge Dee in my opinion. And the actor that was cast as Judge Dee’s father, I am seeing him so often lately as fathers in so many different dramas. The magestic Empress Wu by Zhong Chu Xi is acceptable, she is able to hold herself well in this role, however my best cast for this role will always be Carina Lau. Wonder what’s the back story of his two followers. The first 4 ep. marks the discovery of Judge Dee’s talent and Empress Wu recruited him to help her against her enemies. This reminds me of Zhu Ge Liang, this recruitement is so much easier compared to Zhu Ge Liang’s recruitment in Three Kingdom. In the past, I always wondered the creation of this fictional character, is it to show a symbolic theme on how a powerful woman needs a smart man behind her?
So if I have to be very critical - I have to say the story is very slow burn in terms of plot development. I get…
Actually I agreed with all your points, it’s valid and logical, but I guessed for a dramas that focus on atmospheric romance scenes, making viewers feel good at moment to moment, some logic are easily forgiven and forgotten. Can’t really take it too logical or serious, as it will be hard to enjoy this;)
I wonder too, English is technically not their first language.
So to make it easier for the Chinese casts to converse with the locals, this drama has used the international language. I guess we didn’t see a lot interaction among their locals.
May you and family have a great and peaceful festive season too!🫶🏻💕❤️
