1. The ghouls mom put her there. It’s mentioned in the novel, drama just hinted it. In novel XS survived and live with the ghouls, in drama they just assumed he died from the fall. 2. IMO, this is director intention to set up for season 2, but we know there won’t be one. So conclusion, this director just doesn’t explain things and choose to leave it to viewers speculation. 3. I also ask why too🤷🏻♀️. The story just pointed only the ‘blade’ family can use the sword and skills to kill fiends…🤷🏻♀️ Not much rational logic over it. 4. And the human hunter were the ones who cause the rip between the barriers for fiends to learn they can escape. As the origin story, the hunters were sent by Emperor Qing to find immortality drugs and they discovered the fiends are immortal hence they were hunting them. Just sharing some thoughts. Wei Yu (the novelist)’ work is fun to read with the fantasy element and cool ideas but can’t dwell too deep into the rationality and logic.

Nope. XS falls into the abyss after a fight with fiends. Drama never explained, presumably dead. In novel, he lives with the ghouls. The reason why LXR kept YT, many speculation, one key one is she wants to live like a human so having a human kid, or since she took over Yan business, having Yan’s son around feels more legit., she uses him as a cover up for front line business where she does backend shady stuff.

She lower her voice and act mature in her role ‘My Journey to You’ as it’s required for that, and over there viewers see her versatile acting skills. Being cutesy is her usual persona, she uses her own voice for all her dramas in for the past few years.

Watching old dramas, we probably will spend more time laughing at the sets, costume, make up and the whole low quality production and not focusing on the drama. lol.😂🤣.

Agreed! CY’s character here is also a tragic character, live for revenge but at least the pacing, storytelling and tone of the drama is quite good so far.
