OMG! Just came across a short ending script review of the ending which also explain why HQ kept smelling an incense. I really hope it’s not how it will be, as I will be so so sad😭.

I feel with the change of destiny, FL manages to attract her current husband (who I feel is the most wishy washy man in this drama, dislike his character). And her kindness that she gotten a secret admirer, Hua Rong Zhou. Then we have ZXW, who always does love her but hides it. And with her changes, he is starting to reveal more to her. The assassin, should be in love with MY.

Thanks for your elaborated and detailed review. I only noticed this drama now after recent watch on both ML and FL’s new drama. I shall catch up with this on free time. Seems like a light-hearted Rom Com with much comedy.

We don’t know yet how this drama May re-write the ending. So let’s wait and see.

ZYL lost his parents when young, his parents are loyal to Emperor, so he was adopted/taken care of by ZXW’s parents. So he called ZXW’s mother as teacher, they are not biologically related but half brothers in that sense.

There are some realism to such traditional farm setting in China. The man and woman of the household make all the decision for their children and loyalty and filial piety is the value they live by. Sad but truth to some extend.

From some readings, I think he is a beggar with no surname, being abandoned, he took on ‘Hua’ surname as he admired the FL. But we shall see whether this drama has make any changes.
