This is season 1, she has no pair up for romance yet. It will happen only in season 2. Endgame TSJ.

Pardon my long long message, just have a lot to process and re-watching some scenes.;)

My personal take, I did not read the novel, so based on my interpretation of XY’s feeling from the drama. She definitely love TSJ and XL, but let me talked more about the unspoken love she had for XL. XY initially was afraid of XL when they first met. But subsequently with frequent encounter, she realised he is quite harmless and she was willing to confide in him which she never did to YSQ. She openly and honestly tell XL about her fear of loneliness and abandonment. Which is when XL grew to have feeling for her. And when XL tried to rescue her from CX at Qing Shui town, she saw he was already injured, she doesn’t want him to risk his life for her, likely another sign that she already does care for him.
And that scene which he confronted her about her identity, she told her how she felt, she is afraid to fall in love with him as he is not suitable, but that is also the scene indirectly saying she already quite fancy him and fear she will fall deeper.
Then when she met him again as FFB, he showed the fun side of him, spent time with her and taught her archery. Of course XY is wary of falling for FFB. But when she discovered FFB is XL, she was willing to help him and the bedroom scene although she refused to let him suck her neck, she was also happy FFB is XL. And you will noticed her subsequent dates with him, she always show her honest self just never her feelings for him because XL kept pushing her away and his distancing reminds her to keep away. The 37 yrs of healing, she knew he cares for her and she teared because she will miss him and sad that he didn’t even want to say goodbye. And we have the most touching scene (for me) after the fight arena, first time XL almost shows his emotions, but immediately back off and again push her away. XY said her deepest wish for him to be free, be just FFB, that’s definitely her love for him and not just compassion. She knew she cannot expect of him and wouldn’t want to and she respect his choice so she will always keep her love for her deeply hidden.
Like how XL kept his love hidden from her, they are very alike in lots of way. In my alternate reality for this story, if XL is not on the opp side, I believe she will choose him instead of TSJ. lol.

That explains in when I saw interviews with TJC, he is always so humble and he mentioned as long people give him an opportunity, he will do well. Wow YZ/YZ’s dad is so generous. Good for her. They have been online friends for a long time. Good actors should be given opportunity. I believe whether is from acting college or not, the acting skills and result will show. And I seen TJC’s other drama, he definitely can act. Look forward to his future project.

I thought now, he is under his own studio. But so agreed that he has quite a tough journey in C ent., and I am glad he is being seen now. Hopefully his work will get shown more from now onwards.

Part 1, no conclusive ending yet, but no one died, no love relationships are together. It’s a story split into two parts, so this one is part 1, because of C-ent. new regulation. So part 1 only shows half of the story, but there is an achievement for the main ML’s career. The FL is in a good place and she has unfinished business with her relationships with the rest of the ML. So if you can’t stand the break, then maybe better to watch them all, when both parts are out for continuity.

That’s the agony and yet the lovely part about this story. They love each other, deeply they knew it, but refused to admit it. Esp. for XL, he knew he can never give happiness to XY because of his promise to his adoptive dad. In a way, quite a silly nine headed snake, bound by his own oath. Hence some of us feel that XL is the one with most heart but he just hides it too well.😭

Yes, XY is good in that, she sees goodness in everyone and especially in XL.

Yes, we all wonder. It’s filmed but just not sure when it will be aired. Some says based on the regulation it should be early next year.

Finishing part 1, my thoughts were that I am super impressed by the acting skills by Yang Zi, Tan JianCi and Zhang Wan Yi. This drama requires strong and skillful actors to express complexity in emotions and the role they played. I do love the story, the sets, the costume and even the fight scenes were beautifully done. Now I have to wait patiently for part 2. Thank you for the fun conversation. See you all in part 2.
