Very well written review, I enjoyed reading it. The points and summary you mentioned about this drama has totally resonated with me. I think the director has ideas but the whole execution falls short. The plot holes you shared are spot on and the intention of not giving viewers any explanation on the obvious set up of scenes and characters just makes viewers feel cheated. lol! I suspects that the director struggled to explain certain ideas and decided to just not explain and leave it to viewers to guess, but not done properly🤷🏻‍♀️. Probably. Just my opinion, some parts, I felt like I am watching an MTV, a few scenes put together then it ended just like that; then we have the next scene 😅.

I have mixed feelings on the whole last 8 ep…just feels like certain scenes can be edited tighter and more emphasis on the plot development will be useful.

Because the hunters spent most of their time eating, sitting around and drinking coffee…their lack of practice and group coordination shows in actual fights, that’s the only explain I have😅😅😅.
I am upset that the fight between NJL and Ms Lin was so short🤦🏻‍♀️. As if their early impressive fight scenes were gone completely wasted.

I agreed with you. When I watched the underground cave scenes, NJL was not doing much in the fights and the hunters were just being slaughtered. NJL’s action was severely decreased at the end. I understand that they want to give more screen time for her mother and YT’s saving her…but🤦🏻‍♀️

I also wonder. I felt very likely fake or it was cut off. There are going to be too many plot points and too little time left to explain.

Ah Shui’s moments of saving TLC were indeed quite unbelievable and forceful. To me, Jeremy Tsui’s compelling performance is still the best villain in this show and his chemistry with Luo YunXi is just fantastic. Can watch their scenes on repeat mode🤩.

This has ended via express package. There are actually quite nice romantic moments, more than we anticipated for an action genre. Spoiler: sexy dance duet, three enduring kisses and lots of moments of them saving each other.

I am done with all ep. Being the novel reader, I can understand the changes made for this drama adaptation, this version is a lot simpler and there are a lot more strong emotional scenes being emphasized which the leads portrayed them well. Satisfied ending.
