I only saw Sun Qian, the FL once in modern drama…I really can’t see her in historical show…maybe that’s why they gave her a character from outskirt region and untamed personality.. She is really not that suitable for historical drama.

But then the Eagles do more in that world.
My only complaint about this (as someone has mentioned below) is that the directing seems a bit draggy, whether…
I feel it’s the problem of editing…and as we get two ep a day, the untimely editing can cause the viewers to feel drag at certain scenes. Maybe binge watch more ep would really help to maintain momentum.

So the clip narrated how Lu has triple identities and her existence is worst than Fiends. Li Xi Rou as Fiends are only a small monster species. Lu is not part of human or earth species instead she is an ancient species created by NuWa, tasked to protect and maintain order between the ‘Black and White’ barrier. They have the power to control/ destroy Fiends. And all this while she is aware of LXR’s plan of coming to Earth surface and creating Earth Fiends. She is aware of LXR’s killing and massacre of Yan’s family but she didn’t interfere as she is waiting for the actual moment when the balance is tip. She is also aware of NJL’s identity and her inherited special family blood. She has been secretly guiding NJL.
Lu is not inherent good or bad, she didn’t help Yan family or Yan Tuo when the Fiends attack them. She chooses not to interfere and her only task is to bring balance between Fiends and Human, to prevent LXR from destroying Earth if that happens, she will reset the order. Lu is like a quiet observer on a chess game, watching the chess players and chess pieces, watching them play. She will only interfere if they are out of control. So Lu is definitely much more powerful and dangerous than Fiends. Fiends wanted to break the Barriers’ rules, to let Fiends roam Earth freely, but Lu is there to maintain order and balance. LXR will be afraid of Lu. LXR also knows her power is unmatchable to Lu as Lu can destroy Fiends if she wants to. So Lu’s existence only reminded LXR how her action is mediocre as ultimately LXR has no control of the situation.

In the novel, NJL is super badass😍, really like a Lara Croft but much more powerful because she has special blood. Let’s hope the drama NJL will not deviate too far from the novel.;)

Yeah, they didn’t, the hunters’ group sustained heavy death toll when they encountered fiends…they only got better later when the blade FL, whip girl (yet appear) and dog (the blind guy) started to work together as a team.
