My take, can watch with a light heart. Although there are some serious moments, the sadness past very fast for me.

This is a light hearted Rom-com with interesting element of mystery and background political agenda between a two races. The shape shifting concept, one race more superior than the other because of magical element are all very refreshing and interesting to me. The fight scenes are nicely choreographed with minimum use of effect. The pacing are good so far except the love development of ML and FL seems a bit of the drag. There are sad moments. To me both ML and FL and many casting here are eye candy however not the typical ‘big star’ profile, but they represented their roles well. My only comment is that the FL is matured and witty but yet at times she seems to have to act cute that is too cringy for me. I do wish they focus a bit more on MuYan and linking how the small mystery were link to his disappearance.

The see-sawing of their relationships become tiring to watch.

I guessed the ptsd plot was because he got bullied quite badly on a rainy and thunderstorm day; hence he had such intense reaction when it rain and thunder. Just felt his father was not very responsible father.

Ep 35/36 is the hardest to watch., although the ending of ep 36 gives some satisfaction.

As I felt, I don’t think Hu Shui/ Shu Zhi is a bad person. Too bad she can’t unite with QingHeng.
