I know what you mean. Initially when I watched, I felt bad for poor HZ. Then I understand that FL’s character ark is that she is totally oblivious and clueless when it is about romantic relationship. She always have Lao Hu to gave her tips. So I conclude why she acted that way to ML. Hence she is also clueless about WenJun liking her. My take.
