Slow and only so few ep left.

Just started this not long ago at ep 14. Think the released is out to ep16. Like the synopsis stated, a love with a bad start and after 6yrs, they met again. Both have to decide whether they still can work it out. The first few ep is showing all the flaws and arrogant character of the ML, but it also shows that the ML doesn’t really know how to truly love somebody. He is the best in his medical profession as a ‘machine’. So potential to see his growth and learn how to show love to FL. The imperfection of character attracts me. It also shows the maturity and growth of FL from a lovesick girl to more sure of what she wants in love.
I like the medical cases and how they discuss about the profession so far. Worth the try when you have the time;)

Missionary trips to third world country for doctors is still an over glorified task. A lot of drs do dream to do that.
But the gunning in Africa was dramatic!!!🤣

ML needs to learn to be more human and less machine.

I think the main struggle for ML is that he doesn’t know how to love or how to express his love.

At ep 14, I kind of like the lawyer, so persuasive and determine to court FL.

So far the pace is quite quick, but agreed with one of the comment below that after 10 ep of seeing no growth in ML, wondering should he even deserve to win back FL.

Poor communication really kills love and marriage. And ML’s lack of love and concern when young, can resulted in him not knowing how to express and love others as an adult. Get that but after 10 eps, I wonder is he learning? Haven’t see that happening yet. Seems to manipulate his son to get FL’s attention. Lol! He really can do better after so many ep.

A doctor without a heart is just a machine.

Really like Shinning for One Thing!!! Zhang Wen Shang is one of my favorite ML. You should definitely re-watch that;)

Yeah, realised it. Started a few ep now. Still trying to figure out how it will develop between ML and FL. But like the realness of medical cases.

Totally feel you. After Meet Yourself, hard to swallow an arrogant ML. However I see potential for this plot is that, they got together on the wrong start. FL is all giving and thought she can make him love her. And ML, I am really not sure he knows what love is. So if the plot move on to show ML’s growth to know how to truthfully love FL, then it will make sense. I like how FL is being represented so far, although she knows she loves him, she is cautious and not believing ML. He has to try harder.

Yes, what you said make sense. It’s realistic ending in that way. The Empress calling out his nickname is probably the closest signs of compassion she expressed. What a sad woman to live her life like that. Similarly for ZhuLin, lived his life only for hatred.

Going to start this. Is this similar to ‘Meet Yourself’ kind of storyline? Slice of life? Already 15ep released, how is it so far?

Just felt bad for ZhuLin, although his revenge act was too destructive. The villain gets away and learn no lesson and no consequences. That’s the part, I find hastily wrapped.

Another thought, why the need to mention about Lan Jue’s wife and son at the end? I didn’t read the original novel, was that originally there or added for this drama, if so, that’s really serve no purpose.
