Ep 31, finally together! Sweetness overload! And NaNa and Xia Xia, got potential. Xia Xia seems to like her secretly… Yang Ah Gong, one of old school thinker, expected in an old village! Alas so easily settled by Grandma Xie! Lol!

Yes! At least with subs, you can get a bit of the gist. You can enjoy their acting, very well expressed. Totally agreed that Zhi Yap’s relationship with granny Xie is so lovely. An old lady with wisdom, gem of the show too!

So true. Every conversation have it’s jewel and learning point, simple but yet deep. Some Chinese languages or idoms are so profound, can be easily lose its meaning with the translation
I just watched Episode 5 and Im so confused, what does universe flicker means? What is the big deal of it? I guess…
The trilogy book is based on a concept paper on ‘three body problem’, hence the sci-fi genre with some inspiration of hard facts. In a way it can be quite complex to understand. The author is from IT engineering background, hence some terms can be quite technical to my opinion. Book 1 focus on Chinese cultural revolution and how that had an impact on scientists at that time and how these impact gave rise to the villain’s plot with the discovery of being with higher intelligence and earth invasion. Which is what this series focus on. Get through this one and interested then continue book 2 focus more on how humanity response to this threat (which I find it’s the best among three, personal opinion). And book 3 is the summary of all concepts explored in book 1 and 2, like what’s 2-dimension being look like vs 4-dimension being, with a little depressive ending.

Yes, Li Xian is a versatile actor. He has done a lot of previous good work. Apart from ‘Go go squid’ that caught most people attention. I really love his role in ‘Tientsin Mystic’. And he has a fantastic smile😍.
I believe to pass their censorship, it would have to be edited heavily and gross over quickly. But that will also means the watered down back story of the villain.
Love it when he confidently told his friend that he would have a wife in two years ❤️
At ep 30 dinner fest, the Aunties openly ship Nana and XiaXia, Nana didn’t object and jokingly said once her business starts, she will go to XiaXia’s Mom house to collect him. His face immediately turn red LOL. Lots of possibility there.
